What a joyful day at Ginger Farm Chiangmai ! Kindergarten 1 Students enjoyed a hands-on farm experience as they fed chickens, collected fresh eggs, and explored the farm with curiosity and excitement. They also picked leaves to feed the goats and rabbits, showing kindness and care while interacting gently with the animals. One of the highlights was meeting the water buffalo, where students observed its features and learned more about farm animals up close.

After enjoying a simple and delicious lunch surrounded by nature, the children continued their adventure filled with laughter, discovery, and meaningful learning experiences.

Learning about sound energy became a hands-on musical adventure for our students at American Pacific International School!

Through a fun and interactive experiment, students explored how vibrations create sound and discovered how the length of straws can change the pitch and tone of their very own handmade pan flutes.

By designing, testing, and playing the instruments themselves, students were able to connect scientific concepts with creativity in a meaningful and memorable way. The excitement of hearing different sounds come to life — from instruments they built with their own hands — made the learning experience even more engaging and fun.

A wonderful example of curiosity, creativity, and inquiry-based learning in action!

The Kindergarten 3 field trip to the umbrella-making center was a great success! Students explored the step-by-step process of crafting an umbrella and had the opportunity to add their own personal touch by decorating their very own umbrella. They were excited to observe the different materials and techniques used by local artisans. To make the experience even more special, each student had the opportunity to decorate their very own umbrella with colorful designs and personal touches.

It was a fun and meaningful hands-on learning experience that encouraged creativity, curiosity, and appreciation for local culture and craftsmanship.

Grade 9 Visual Arts students completed their collaborative mural project in the APIS Visual Arts studio. Students explored the issue of plastic overconsumption in Thailand and created a collaborative mural showing an imaginary “trash monster” threatening the Thai animals, people and landscapes. To finish the mural, students created the activist slogan “Your Future, Your Choice” and added painted handprints as their signatures, which was a fun and memorable final activity. Throughout the project, students worked together to research, design, scale, paint, and experiment with paint and recycled plastic mosaic techniques to communicate an important environmental message.

Our Grade 5 students from the Primary Campus celebrated their learning by inviting the American Pacific International School community to join the Science Fair. Students began with a research question and developed it into an experiment or build. They planned procedures, conducted experiments, reflected on their learning, and made improvements along the way. They also researched and wrote scientific explanations to better understand their results before creating displays to share their learning with students, staff, and family members. The Science Fair also included demonstrations of experiments completed throughout the unit.

The Science Fair was an overwhelming success, and we are incredibly proud of them!

Last Saturday, our Dragons Team proudly represented American Pacific International School at the CMAC Chess Competition held at CDSC. It was a highly competitive event, but our students rose to the challenge! The Dragons secured victories in 4 out of their 7 rounds, an impressive achievement against such tough competition. The team showcased fantastic skills and, most importantly, had a great time competing throughout the tournament. We are incredibly proud of their effort and positive attitude. Well done, Dragons!

American Pacific International School Primary Campus recently hosted its monthly Learner Profile Assembly, celebrating this month’s theme: Balanced.

Students creatively demonstrated what it means to live a balanced life through an entertaining performance set in a science lab, bringing the IB Learner Profile to life with energy and imagination.

The assembly also celebrated student achievements, with IB Learner Profile Awards presented to students who exemplified the attribute, alongside special recognition and certificates for our talented Chinese writing competition participants and winners.

April was a wellness-focused month for our residential students as they participated in a Preksha meditation workshop. The workshop encouraged mindfulness, relaxation, and emotional well-being, helping students develop healthy habits for a balanced lifestyle. Alongside the wellness activities, students also stayed active through badminton sessions, building teamwork, focus, and sportsmanship while having fun together. They also joined a basic photography workshop where they explored creativity, learned simple photography techniques, and captured memorable moments around campus.

It was a month filled with learning, wellness, creativity, and connection for our residential community. Students in the Residential Program at American Pacific International School grow through wellness, creativity, friendships, and meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
