Breaking News: Chevening Application Terminated for Myanmar Candidates

According to the UK in Myanmar, the UK Government has introduced a new measure called a “visa brake.” Under this policy, applications from Myanmar nationals under the sponsored study route submitted on or after 26 March 2026 (00:01 GMT) will be refused.

As a result, the Cheveing Programme will terminate applications from Myanmar Candidates. If a candidate has already been interviewed, their application will not be progressed any further.

Internship/ Job ရှာခြင်း နှင့် ကျားဖြန့်များ‼️

Study Abroad လုပ်နေကြတဲ့ လူငယ်တွေ မဖြစ်မနေ သတိထားရမဲ့ ကိစ္စတစ်ခုကို Jo Jo ဒီနေ့ပြောပြချင်ပါတယ်။ စာရှည်ပါမယ်။

နိုင်ငံခြားမှာကျောင်းတက်နေကြတဲ့ကျောင်းသားတွေအနေနဲ့ 3rd year, 4th year မှာ ကျောင်း curriculum ရဲ့ လိုအပ်ချက်အရ internship ဆင်းကြရပါတယ်။ internship ရှာဖို့အတွက် သုံးတဲ့ platform တွေကတော့ အများကြီး ရှိတယ်ပေါ့နော်။ LinkedIn, jobsdb, jobthai, facebook ကနေလည်း လျှောက်ကြသလို company website ကို ဝင်ပြီး တိုက်ရိုက် applyတာမျိုးလည်းရှိတယ်။ company website ကနေ လျှောက်ရင် စိတ်ပူစရာမလိုပေမဲ့ တခြား platform တွေကနေ လျှောက်ရင် ပြီးပြီးရော မလျှောက်ဘဲ တင်တဲ့သူရဲ့ background, company background ကို သေချာ checkပြီးမှ လျှောက်တာအကောင်းဆုံးပါ။
ဂျိုဂျိုကတော့ internshipကို 2nd year ပြီးထဲက စလုပ်ခဲ့ပြီး အခုထိလည်း လုပ်နေပါတယ်။ internship အတွက်လျှောက်ခဲ့တဲ့ company တွေကလည်းများတယ်ပေါ့နော်။ ဂျိုဂျိုရဲ့ အရင်ထဲက သုံးလာတဲ့ email တစ်ခုကို scammer ( ကျားဖြန့်) တွေက ဘယ်ကနေရလာလဲတော့ မသိဘူး။ ဖြစ်နိုင်တာက job application တင်ရာကနေပဲ ဖြစ်မှာပါ။ အခုဆို email ကနေ နှစ်ခါ၊ ဖုန်း ဆက်ပြီးပြောတာ တစ်ခါ ရှိပါပြီ🥲 အူတူတူ အတတ နဲ့ လိမ်ချင်စရာလေးလို့ ထင်လို့လားမသိဘူး။ အဲ့တော့ သူတို့ရဲ့ လိမ်ပုံကို ဆက်ပြောပြပါမယ်…

1️⃣ email ကနေ Boss ဟန်ဆောင်လိမ်ခြင်း❗️
JoJo ပထမ internship လုပ်နေတုန်း ပို့လာတာပါ။ အဲ့တုန်းက ရုံးမှာ Christmas partyကျင်းပ ခါနီးကာလပါ။ Personal Email ကို Boss နာမည်နဲ့ ရုံးက full time သမားတွေကို ဆုချချင်လို့ ကူပြီး ဝယ်ပေးပါ၊ တခြား employee တွေကို surprise တိုက်မှာမို့ မပြောပါနဲ့ ဆိုတဲ့ email ရောက်လာတာပါ🥴။ အဲ့တုန်းက စာသင်ခန်းထဲမှာ ရောက်နေတာမို့ အလုပ်ရှုပ်နေတာနဲ့ တကယ် boss က ပို့တယ်ပဲထင်သွားပြီး သူမေးတာကို လုပ်ပေးနေလိုက်မိသေးတယ်။ ပြီးမှ ဘတ် ၂၅၀၀၀ ဖိုး စိုက်ပြီးဝယ်ပေးပါ မနက်ဖြန်မှ ပိုက်ဆံပြန်ပေးမယ် ပြောတဲ့အချိန် sender ရဲ့ email ကို စစ်တဲ့အချိန်မှာ official email နဲ့မတူလို့ Boss ကိုတိုက်ရိုက်သွားမေးလိုက်မှ သူမဟုတ်ဘူးတာ သိရတာပါ။
အဲ့တုန်းက သူက scam ပေမဲ့ jojo ကိုယ်တိုင်လည်း bank ထဲမှာ ရာဂဏန်းပဲရှိတယ်🥹 သူလာ scam လည်း ပေးစရာမရှိ။

2️⃣ email နဲ့လိမ်ခြင်း❗️
ဒါကတော့ လောလောလတ်လတ် တစ်နေ့ကတင် ဖြစ်တာပါ။ ပထမတစ်ခါ ပို့ခံရတဲ့ emailကိုပဲ HSBC ရဲ့ china president ပါ business ကိစ္စပြောချင်လို့ပါ၊ meeting အတွက် schedule လုပ်ချင်ပါတယ် ဆိုပြီး email ရောက်လာတာပါ။ ဒီတစ်ခါလိမ်တဲ့သူက တော်”လေးကြိုးစားထားပါတယ်။ email မှာ logo၊ ဓာတ်ပုံ ၊ address နဲ့ official email ပုံစံပါ attached ထားသေးတာ😂။ သူပို့လာတဲ့ email ကတော့ official website domain မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။
ဒီတစ်ခါတော့ဘယ်လိုလိမ်မလဲသိချင်လို့ သူတို့ကို နည်း”ခေါင်းစားလိုက်ပါတယ်။ ဒါပေမဲ့လည်း same scriptတွေပါပဲ။
Meetingလုပ်ချင်တယ်လို့ပြောတဲ့အခါ ပိုသတိထားရမှာက video record ယူပြီး backmailလုပ်တာတို့ အများကြီး ခံရနိုင်ပါတယ်‼️

3️⃣ ဖုန်းဆက်ပြီးလိမ်ခြင်း❗️

အဲ့တုန်းက jojo နောက် intern တစ်ခုရှာဖို့အတွက် အလုပ်ထပ်လျှောက်နေတဲ့ ကာလမှာ ဖုန်းခေါ်လာတာပါ။ နာမည်အတိအကျ၊ လက်ရှိလုပ်နေတဲ့ company name, position name နဲ့ ပြောလာလို့ အစက HR တွေက ဖုန်းခေါ်တယ် ထင်ခဲ့ပေမဲ့ company မှာ laptop တွေအစားထိုးဖို့မှာထားတဲ့အတွက် HP ကဖုန်းခေါ်တာပါဆိုတဲ့ပုံစံနဲ့ Company ရဲ့ data တွေကို ဆက်မေးနေပါတယ်။ JoJo လည်း စာမေးပွဲရက်အတွင်းဖြစ်တာ တစ်ကြောင်း သူပြောနေတာတွေ မူမမှန်တာကို ရိပ်မိတာရောကြောင့် ဖုန်းချခဲ့ပါတယ်။

‼️ internship ရှာတဲ့အခါ source ကို သေချာစစ်ပါ။ ကိုယ့်ကို job interview on-site ခေါ်ခံရတာမျိုးဆိုလည်း တွေ့မဲ့နေရာ၊ ဆက်သွယ်တဲ့လူရဲ့ background၊ company background တွေကို သေချာ check ပြီး၊ ကိုယ့်သူငယ်ချင်းဘေးကလူတွေကို အသိပေးပြီးမှ လုပ်ဖို့ ဂျိုဂျိုက အကြံပေးချင်ပါတယ်။ Resume ဆိုတာ ကိုယ့်ရဲ့ information တွေ အကုန်ပါနေတဲ့အတွက် sensitive ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

‼️နောက်ထပ် facebookက အလုပ်ရှာတဲ့ groupတွေမှာ ကိုယ့် CV ကို personal info အပြည့်တွေနဲ့ တင်နေကြတာကို သတိထားပါ။ အဲ့လိုလူတွေက scammersတွေရဲ့ target ဖြစ်လာမှပါ။ နိုင်ငံခြားမှာ နေရတဲ့သူတွေအတွက် မိသားစုက အနားမှာမရှိတာကြောင့် အစစ အရာရာ ပိုဂရုစိုက်ပေးကြပါရှင့်။
