The NIS Model United Nations (MUN) Program continues to stand as one of our most dynamic and impactful social science platforms, where ideas are challenged, voices are heard, and future global leaders are shaped.

Throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, students will engage in a full calendar of activities across all four quarters, building essential skills in public speaking, active listening, political writing, and international diplomacy.

Benny’s Musical Journey Leads to Berklee College of Music

NIS is delighted to celebrate Pipat (Benny) Kulpakdeesingworn, Class of 2026, on his acceptance to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA , one of the world’s most prestigious music institutions.

Having been part of the NIS community since Grade 1, Benny’s journey reflects years of commitment, creativity, and continuous growth in music.

He has been accepted into Berklee’s Bachelor of Music degree program, a highly competitive pathway with an acceptance rate of approximately 30–35%.

Even more impressively, Benny has been awarded a $100,000 scholarship over four years, with an additional $3,000 per year granted following a successful scholarship appeal.

This achievement highlights his passion, discipline, and the dedication he has shown both in and beyond the classroom. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow and make his mark on the global stage.

Proud Moment on the International Stage!

Our young golfers have just wrapped up the JGFP World Junior Team Championship 2026 in the Philippines, competing against 130 players from 10 countries over three intense days of competition.

We are incredibly proud to share their outstanding achievements:

🥈 G5 Shiman Xu – Girls U12 Runner-up
🥈 G4 Yunbang Yin – Boys U10 Runner-up
🏆 Team Overall – 4th Place

Facing strong international competitors, our players showed remarkable focus, resilience, and sportsmanship well beyond their years. Every swing reflected their hard work, and every round was a step forward in their growth.

This tournament was not only about results, but also about gaining experience, building confidence, and embracing the spirit of global competition.

Celebrating Student Talent Beyond the Classroom

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of Anya Elina Paul (Grade 6), who recently earned the Spotlight Special Award in the Musical Theatre category at The Spotlight Performing Arts Festival 2026 held in Bangkok.

At the festival, Anya performed “Shy” from the classic Broadway musical Once Upon a Mattress, a lively and comedically demanding piece that requires both strong vocal ability and expressive stage presence. Her performance impressed the judges and showcased her remarkable talent in musical theatre.

As a result of this achievement, Anya has been invited to perform at two prestigious regional events in 2026: the Singapore Performing Arts Festival 2026 in Singapore and Performing LIVE! Fest 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.

Congratulations, Anya! We are very proud of your dedication, talent, and the passion you bring to the performing arts. We look forward to seeing all that you accomplish next.
