The first MA Counseling cohort in Central Asia has completed Introduction to Christian Counseling.
Beyond academic content, the course is shaping how students engage people in real-life contexts. Many describe a shift from offering quick solutions to listening more carefully and seeking to understand the deeper experiences behind people’s struggles.
Even at this early stage, there are signs of impact in how students are approaching conversations, relationships, and ministry settings.

Over the past few days, we’ve been reflecting on something many of us experience—
People trust us with their stories.
We listen. We care.
But sometimes, we wonder how to help better.
The MA in Counseling (MAC) at Asia Biblical Theological Seminary is designed to equip you with practical skills and a strong theological foundation to care well for others.

People are carrying more than we often realise.
Behind quiet smiles are stories of anxiety, loss, and questions that go unspoken.
And often, they turn to someone they trust…
Maybe that someone has been you.
Stay with us this week.

The resurrection of Jesus is a truth that could not be silenced.
Though some tried to deny it, the truth endured.
The disciples proclaimed it boldly.
And the Church was born through their witness.
Resurrection hope still lives today.
In a world of uncertainty, we are invited to stand in what is true:
Christ is risen.
What does it look like for you to live as a faithful witness today?

Today, we stand at the foot of the Cross.
Here we see the depth of our sin
and the depth of God’s love.
Jesus bore what we could not,
and offers what we do not deserve.
Grace. Forgiveness. New life.
Good Friday invites us not only to remember, but to respond.
What might it mean for you today to lay down pride and receive His grace?
Pause. Reflect.

Students gathered in Iloilo for the in-person portion of the Wisdom Literature course, studying together with Dr. Greg Vruggink.
Through Scripture, discussion, and shared life, students explored what it means to live wisely in a complex and often broken world.
“Wisdom is meant to be lived, not just understood.”
At ABTS, theological education seeks to form leaders who embody God’s wisdom in their daily lives and ministries, within their communities and contexts across Asia.
