The Children's Sight Project will supply spectacles and provide comprehensive Optometric Eye Exams to the Children in the Chiang Mai Province in Northern Thailand. The Children’s Health Education Project has been added to our clinics, so as to deliver health advice to the students.

The Children’s Sight Project will commence eye examinations shortly. In anticipation of this, we have distributed Fashion King Raffle tickets to nearly all of the assistants, including the Leo Club members who will be participating (again) at the Lamphun Schools. A donation of 100 baht will grant you the opportunity to win a custom-made shirt.

The Children’s Sight Project is poised to resume its operations in mid-May, commencing at Chaloem Prakiat School. Prior to this, a comprehensive meeting will be held at the Cafe De Sot (School for the Deaf) on Wednesday, April 29th. During this meeting, clinic schedules will be finalized, and raffle tickets will be distributed, offering participants the opportunity to win a custom-made shirt from Fashion King.
The Children’s Sight Project Team coordinated an excursion for students from The School for the Deaf to Elephant Parade Land. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.nce!

The final spectacles delivered to the students.
This has been another very successful eye clinic, with 24 pairs of spectacles prescribed (10 for myopia,12 for hyperopia and 2 for reading) to 165 students examined, being 14.5 % requiring new spectacle correction.

Today, the team of Angie, Neil & Leigh conducted an examination of the final 7 students, identifying 2 student who required new spectacles.
The final spectacles are planned to be delivered on 17th Dec 2025
We will now pack all the equipment and return to Chaloem Prakiat School (including Ban Sii Yoi and Baan Pen Pittayakhom Schools) starting mid-May 2026.

Day 8
Today, the team conducted an examination of 15 students, identifying one student who required new spectacles.
The students were predominantly in grade 8, with a few from the Autistic School located within the School for the Deaf.
The team will resume its examination next week (Tuesday, May 9th) for the remaining nine students. Subsequently, the team will pack up the equipment and return it to the Chalerm Prakiat School in Lamphun in May 2026.

Day 7 at the School for the Deaf, we managed to examine 18 students, with 3 requiring spectacle correction from grades 8 and 9.
We return tomorrow to examine a few more students, the final day will be Tuesday 9th December.
A Big thank you is extended to Virin and Frank Sethi for making a donation to the Project and Franks' donation of Apples to the students.
On Friday, November 28th, the WarmHearted Worldwide students visited The School for the Deaf. Five students attended the event, and three of them required new spectacle corrections.

A specialized eye clinic was conducted at the School for the Deaf for students from Phrao, Warm Heart Worldwide. All were examined last year, three students required updates to their spectacle prescriptions to achieve clear and comfortable vision in the classroom.

Peter, Kent, Paul, and Chris conducted an examination of 20 students from grades 10 to 12. Two students required updates or new spectacles. Furthermore, we received assistance from three students from the Leo club. It was another successful day at this exceptional school.
