Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University

A vlog-style video of the Chiang Mai Field Study activity held on 7–8 May 2026, bringing together master’s degree students and staff from the MA Global Communication and MA Cultural Management programmes at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University, through the International Bachelor Program in Humanities and Sustainability (BAHS).

The trip was partly inspired by the class activity “Chiang Mai: Global City” by Dr. Sittithep Eakasittipong. During this field study, we expanded from Sittithep's class to explore critical perspectives on cultural identity, the environment, media and cultural capital, gender studies, and postcolonial studies through the context of Chiang Mai.

We hope that our partner institution, CUHK, had both a fruitful and enjoyable time in Chiang Mai, and we look forward to future collaborations and exchanges together.

Check Your Prerequisites: Aiming for 300 or 400-level courses? Remember that these require passing specific 200-level classes first. Double-check your progress to ensure a smooth sign-up!

Freshman courses (Class of 2026): 049101 and 049191 are reserved for first year first as they are their mandatory courses (they are using a different curriculum structure).
