เรียนรู้ผ่านประสบการณ์จริง “SMEP PRC Food Science Camp 2026” สำหรับนักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 โรงเรียนปรินส์รอยแยลส์วิทยาลัย

เมื่อวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน 2569 คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร จัดกิจกรรมสำหรับนักเรียนระดับประถมศึกษาปีที่ 5 จำนวน 131 คน โดยมุ่งเน้นการเรียนรู้ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีอาหารผ่านการลงมือปฏิบัติจริง
นักเรียนได้เข้าร่วมฐานกิจกรรม “สนุกไปกับโลกบรรจุภัณฑ์” เพื่อเรียนรู้บทบาทของบรรจุภัณฑ์ในการรักษาคุณภาพอาหารและการเพิ่มมูลค่าในเชิงอุตสาหกรรม ควบคู่กับการเข้าฐาน “โรงงานต้นแบบ” ซึ่งเปิดโอกาสให้นักเรียนได้ทดลองทำผลิตภัณฑ์จริง ได้แก่ ขนมจากฟักทองด้วยเครื่อง Drum Dryer และขนมข้าวพองหลากรสด้วยเครื่อง Extruder โดยมีคณาจารย์และผู้เชี่ยวชาญคอยให้คำแนะนำอย่างใกล้ชิด

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวช่วยเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจด้านการแปรรูปอาหารเบื้องต้น ควบคู่กับการพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ การแก้ปัญหา และการทำงานเป็นทีม พร้อมเปิดมุมมองใหม่ด้านวิทยาศาสตร์การอาหารในชีวิตประจำวัน

Learning Through Hands-on Experience: SMEP PRC Food Science Camp 2026 for Grade 5 Students from The Prince Royal’s College

On June 23, 2026, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, hosted activities for 131 Grade 5 primary school students, focusing on hands-on learning in food science and technology.
Students participated in the “Fun with Packaging World” station, where they learned the importance of packaging in maintaining food quality and adding value to food products. They also joined the “Pilot Plant” station, where they engaged in practical activities such as producing pumpkin-based snacks using a drum dryer and making puffed rice snacks with various flavors using an extruder, under the guidance of faculty members and experts.

These activities enhanced students’ understanding of basic food processing while developing essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, and broadening their perspectives on food science in everyday life.

The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, has successfully registered the copyright information for the work entitled “Online Official Vehicle Management System for the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University” under the category of literary works. The system is a computer program developed to enhance the management and operation of official vehicle services by improving efficiency, convenience, service responsiveness, and systematic monitoring and tracking of vehicle utilization data.

เมื่อวันที่ 22 มิถุนายน 2569 คณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ นำโดย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ยุทธนา พิมลศิริผล คณบดีคณะอุตสาหกรรมเกษตร พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และบุคลากร ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้แทนจาก Deakin University ประเทศออสเตรเลีย เพื่อหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือทางวิชาการและการพัฒนาหลักสูตรในระดับนานาชาติ 📚✨

🎓 ในโอกาสนี้ คณะผู้แทนจาก Deakin University ได้จัดกิจกรรม Master Class ให้แก่นักศึกษาหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีการอาหาร (หลักสูตรนานาชาติ) ถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ ประสบการณ์ด้านการศึกษา งานวิจัย และโอกาสการศึกษาต่อในระดับนานาชาติ

💡 ทั้งสองสถาบันยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางความร่วมมือในอนาคต โดยเฉพาะโครงการ PlusOne Program ร่วมกับหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีการอาหาร หลักสูตรนานาชาติ ซึ่งจะเปิดโอกาสการศึกษาต่อ การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษา และการพัฒนาเส้นทางการศึกษาร่วมกัน เพื่อส่งเสริมศักยภาพนักศึกษาในระดับสากล

On 22 June 2026, the Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Yuthana Phimolsiripol, Dean of the Faculty of Agro-Industry, together with faculty executives, academic staff, and personnel, warmly welcomed a delegation from Deakin University, Australia.

📚✨ The visit provided an excellent opportunity for both institutions to exchange ideas and explore future academic collaboration, particularly in the areas of international education, student mobility, and postgraduate study pathways.

🎓 As part of the visit, the Deakin University delegates conducted a Master Class for students in the Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology (International Program), sharing valuable insights on international education, research opportunities, and global career pathways.

Empowering Young Innovators: SMEP PRC Food Science Camp 2026 for The Prince Royal’s College

The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, organized the “SMEP PRC Food Science Camp 2026” on June 22, 2026, welcoming 132 primary school students (Grade 4) from The Prince Royal’s College.
Participants were introduced to basic concepts in food science and engaged in the “PD Creator” workshop, where they explored simple food product development. The activity aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, and early inspiration in food science.

เมื่อ “สายพันธุ์” เปลี่ยน รสชาติเนื้อไก่ก็เปลี่ยน งานนี้พบสารกลิ่นรสกว่า 60 ชนิด ทำให้ไก่พื้นเมืองไทยมีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นกว่าเดิม ขณะที่ไก่เชิงพาณิชย์ให้ผลผลิตสูงกว่า นี่คือก้าวใหม่ของอาหารจาก “เน้นปริมาณ” สู่ “คุณภาพและคุณค่า” ที่ช่วยยกระดับเกษตรกร สร้างสินค้าโปรตีนพรีเมียม และส่งเสริมความยั่งยืน

When genotype changes, flavor changes. This study identified over 60 aroma compounds, revealing that Thai native chickens offer richer, more distinctive flavors, while commercial broilers deliver higher yields. It marks a shift from quantity-driven production to quality-focused innovation—creating premium protein products, supporting local farmers, and advancing more sustainable food systems for the future.
