“Learning Through Experience”

On Thursday, 26th February, the Foreign Language Department organized an activity for the English Excellence Program (M.6) students to learn how to cook Thai dishes, including Pad Thai and Bananas in Sweet Coconut Milk.

The students learned through hands-on, real-life experiences. They went to the local market to purchase ingredients, prepared the materials, and cooked the dishes themselves.

This opportunity was both valuable and meaningful for the students. The engaging activity demonstrated that English can be used in many contexts beyond the classroom, especially in authentic, everyday situations.

On Wednesday, 25th February, the Foreign Language Department organized an educational excursion for students from the English Excellence Program to participate in an English camp at the Faculty of Education, Chiang Mai University.

Throughout the program, students were actively engaged in a variety of interactive learning activities designed to enhance their English proficiency in both literacy and comprehension. These thoughtfully structured activities, including language-based games that stimulated intellectual curiosity and guided writing tasks utilizing contextual clues, significantly fostered their analytical and critical thinking skills.

Following the academic sessions, the students had the opportunity to explore the university grounds and appreciate the tranquil atmosphere of the campus park. This enriching experience may serve as a source of motivation, encouraging them to pursue higher education in the field of education or other language-related disciplines in the future.

🔻 กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศ (ภาษาจีน ) โรงเรียนกาวิละวิทยาลัย นำนักเรียนแผนการเรียนภาษาจีนเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม “ สัมผัสภาษาและวัฒนธรรมจีนครั้งที่ 4 ประจำปีการศึกษา 2568” ณ ชุมชนอรุโณทัย และ ทำกิจกรรมค่ายภาษาและวัฒนธรรมจีน ณ โรงเรียนบ้านอรุโณทัย ต. เวียงแหง อำเภอเชียงดาวจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ในวันพุธที่ 18 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นำโดยคุณครูอัชชุมณี ศรีธิ คุณครูผู้รับผิดชอบกิจกรรมพัฒนาแผนการเรียนภาษาจีน คุณครูอำภา พนาศิลาลาด หัวหน้ากลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศ คุณครูทินวุฒิ นาคจร และ Mr.Raphael Angelo Perez Bentoy พร้อมด้วยนักเรียนจำนวน 35 คน เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมวันตรุษจีนของหมู่บ้านอรุโณทัย และร่วมอวยพรชาวบ้านชุมชนอรุโณทัย โดยได้รับการต้อนรับจาก ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน คณะผู้บริหารและครู โรงเรียนบ้านอรุโณทัย อ. เชียงดาว จ.เชียงใหม่ อย่างอบอุ่น ซึ่งกิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมพัฒนาแผนการเรียนเรียนภาษาจีนโรงเรียนกาวิละวิทยาลัย
​The Foreign Language Department (Chinese Section) of Kawila Wittayalai School led students from the Chinese language program to participate in the "4th Chinese Language and Culture Experience" activity for the 2025 academic year. The event took place at the Arunothai Community and included a Chinese Language and Culture Camp held at Ban Arunothai School, Wiang Haeng Subdistrict, Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
​The delegation was led by Ms. Atchumanee Srithi, the teacher in charge of the Chinese Language Program Development; Ms. Ampha Panasilalat, Head of the Foreign Language Department; Mr. Thinnawut Nakjohn; and Mr. Raphael Angelo Perez Bentoy, along with 35 students. The group joined the Chinese New Year festivities of Arunothai Village and extended their well-wishes to the local community members. They were cordially welcomed by the School Director, administrative team, and teachers of Ban Arunothai School, Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai. This activity is an integral part of the Chinese Language Program Development of Kawila Wittayalai School.

高位拉中学外语系（中文班）กาวิละวิทยาลัย，参加“2025学年第四届汉语与中国文化体验活动”，地点为清迈大谷地ชุมชนอรุโณทัย，并在大谷地小学โรงเรียนบ้านอรุโณทัย开展汉语与中国文化营活动。活动于2026年2月18日（星期三）举行。

本次活动由高威拉中学汉语系负责人： 许荣宝老师、外语学习领域组长安帕老师、提那武老师以及Mr. Raphael Angelo Perez Bentoy老师带队，共有35名学生参加。师生们参加了大谷地的春节庆祝活动，并向当地村民送上新春祝福。

本次活动受到了โรงเรียนบ้านอรุโณทัย大谷地小学校长、行政团队及全体教师的热情接待。该活动是กาวิละวิทยาลัย高威拉中文学习计划发展项目的重要组成部分。

การแสดงละครเวที เรื่อง" Tim Burton's co**se bride" เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ รายชื่อวิชา ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการแสดง ของนักเรียนแผนการเรียนความเป็นเลิศด้านภาษาอังกฤษในระดับชั้น ม.5/6 ทำการแสดงใน วันจันทร์ที่ 16 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 ณ โรงอาหาร โรงเรียนกาวิละวิทยาลัย โดยมี ผู้อำนวยการโรงเรียน นายมงคล กาเหว่า และคณะครูร่วมชมและให้กำลังใจนักเรียน
The stage performance of “Tim Burton’s Co**se Bride” was part of the English for Performance course for M.5/6 students in the English Excellence Program. The show was performed on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the school canteen of Kawila Wittayalai School.
The event was honored by the presence of the school director, Mongkol Kawao, along with members of the teaching staff, who attended the performance to show their support and encouragement to the students.

Kawilawittayalai School teachers brought lower secondary students on a field trip to Waseda Japanese Language and Culture School in Chiang Mai. The program aims to enhance students’ Japanese language skills while helping them learn about Japanese culture through interactive activities, including Daruma Name Tag and a Japanese cooking class.

カウィラウィッタヤーライ校の教師が、中等部の生徒たちをチェンマイにある早稲田日本語文化学校への校外学習に引率しました。本プログラムは、だるまナムタッグや日本料理教室などの体験型アクティビティを通して、日本語能力の向上と日本文化への理解を深めることを目的としています。

🇹🇭🇺🇸On Tuesday, 28 January 2026, students of Matthayom 4/6 from the English Excellence Program participated in the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of the United States of America, titled “250th Anniversary of the United States of America: Celebrating the Triumph of the American Spirit.” The event was organized by the Embassy of the United States of America in Thailand in collaboration with the Faculty of Political Science and Public Administration, Chiang Mai University, and was held at the American Corner Chiang Mai.
This project provided students of Kawilawittayalai School with valuable learning opportunities in various fields, including American culture, history, economics, security, law and justice, as well as leadership in science and technology. It also enhanced their global perspectives and strengthened their understanding of the role of the United States in the international community. 🇹🇭🇺🇸

KWC Open House entitled “Unlock Your Future, Unlimited Learning” was held joyfully.
The Foreign Language Department provided various activities for students at our booths, including dressing in Japanese traditional clothes, making biscuits, playing Bingo, guessing words, and more.
Moreover, we also had two competitions: Quiz Bee and Spelling Bee, which boosted students’ bravery and confidence in using English, as well as giving them experience in competitions. These activities were very interesting for many students from different schools.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all students, teachers, and staff who participated in this event. Your support and enthusiasm made the KWC Open House a memorable and successful experience.

「Unlock Your Future, Unlimited Learning」をテーマとしたKWCオープンハウスが、楽しく開催されました。
外国語科では、日本の伝統衣装の試着、クッキー作り、ビンゴゲーム、単語当てゲームなど、さまざまな活動ブースを用意しました。

さらに、「クイズビー」と「スペリングビー」の2つのコンテストも行い、生徒たちは英語を使う勇気と自信を高めるとともに、競技に参加する貴重な経験を得ることができました。これらの活動は、多くの学校から参加した生徒たちにとって、とても興味深いものとなりました。

本イベントにご参加・ご協力いただいたすべての生徒、先生方、そしてスタッフの皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。皆様のご支援とご協力のおかげで、KWCオープンハウスは思い出に残る、そして大成功のイベントとなりました。

Students from Kawilawittayalai School, representing the Foreign Language Department, participated in the English contests at the 73rd Academic Contest held at Wattanothai Payap School.

Congratulations to all participants for their achievements:
1. Phongsuk received a gold medal in the Storytelling Contest (Grade 1–3) 🏅🏅🏅
2. Jomharn received a gold medal in the Impromptu Speech Contest (Grade 1–3) 🏅🏅🏅
3. Aina Malangphan received a gold medal in the Storytelling Contest (Grade 4–6) 🏅🏅🏅
4. Phronaphat Akkarawarangkul received a silver medal in the Pictorial Writing Contest (Grade 4–6) 🥈🥈🥈
5. Natchanon Lar received a silver medal in the Impromptu Speech Contest 🥈🥈🥈

However, the prizes they received are not the only rewards. The experience and skills they gained are the true goals of the contest.

This achievement reflects not only the students’ abilities, but also their hard work, determination, and confidence in using English. May this experience inspire them to continue learning and developing their skills in the future.

The Foreign Language Department of Kawilawittayalai School organized a tutorial entitled “English Proficiency Enhancement Program” for Grade 9 students. The program aimed to improve students’ English skills and prepare them for the O-NET examination, which will be held in the coming months.

On behalf of the program, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the tutor, Mr. Konlawat Jaikham, a teacher from Mae On Wittayalai School, for his guidance and dedication. He provided Kawilawittayalai students with useful techniques that they can effectively apply in real-life situations.
