🌏 INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTION | AASM CONFERENCE 2026

Sport Management Grad Programs, Thailand National Sports University, Chiang Mai Campus, is pleased to announce that Associate Professor Dr. Dittachai Chankuna served in three important academic roles at the AASM Conference 2026 and KUSHS International Conference in Sports Science and Health 2026, held from 20–22 August 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand:

1️⃣ Moderator of Panel Discussion 3: Sport Management — moderated the panel under the theme “Challenges and Opportunities in Staging High-Performance Competition among Master and Aging Athletes.”

The panel brought together distinguished international scholars:

• Professor Dr. David Stotlar, University of Northern Colorado, USA
• Professor Dr. Yeh Kong-Ting, National Taiwan Sport University, Taiwan
• Assistant Professor Dr. Nilmanee Sriboon, Thammasat University, Thailand

2️⃣ Chair of Oral Presentation Sessions — introduced presenters, supervised session procedures, managed presentation time, facilitated academic discussions, and presented certificates to the presenters.

ในการสัมมนานี้ รศ.ดร.ดิฏฐชัย นำเสนอการจัดทำมาตรฐานวิชาชีพ “นักจัดการกีฬา” โดยเชื่อมโยงความต้องการของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียกับมูลค่าทางเศรษฐกิจและเครือข่ายสถาบันวิชาชีพทั้งในและต่างประเทศบนพื้นฐานของการวิจัย

ซึ่งข้อมูลทั้งหมดถูกส่งให้คณะกรรมการบริหารของสถาบันคุณวุฒิวิชาชีพ (สคช.) พิจารณาดำเนินการแล้ว

ขั้นตอนต่อไปคือ การสนทนากลุ่ม (Focus Group) จากผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย เพื่อกำหนดรายละเอียดการจัดทำมาตรฐานวิชาชีพ ประมาณเดือนตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2569

📘 Summary of Faculty Qualifications, Competencies, and Requirements for Graduate Programs (Master’s & Doctoral Levels) under the Higher Education Standards Commission Announcement B.E. 2565 (2022)

Maintaining the quality of graduate programs requires a clear understanding of the qualifications, competencies, and requirements for different categories of academic staff, including:

✅ Program Faculty Members
✅ Program Responsible Faculty Members
✅ Principal Thesis Advisors
✅ Thesis Examination Committee Members
✅ Course Instructors

One important point that is often misunderstood is that the Principal Thesis Advisor for both Master’s and Doctoral programs must be a Program Faculty Member, in addition to meeting the required academic qualifications and scholarly publication criteria.

This one-page summary has been prepared to support university administrators, faculty members, curriculum developers, and graduate program committees in interpreting the national standards accurately and applying them effectively in curriculum management.
