"lay it on me" is a casual, enthusiastic way of saying "tell me what’s going on" or "I’m ready to hear whatever you have to say."

"ဘာတွေဖြစ်နေလဲ ငါ့ကိုပြောပါ" သို့မဟုတ် "မင်းပြောသမျှကို နားထောင်ဖို့ ငါအဆင်သင့်ဖြစ်နေပြီ" ဟု ပေါ့ပေါ့ပါးပါဲးနဲ့ စိတ်အားထက်သန်စွာ ပြောဆိုတဲ့အခါမှာသုံးကြတယ်။

It is an informal expression commonly used in English to invite someone to tell you something, usually with enthusiasm or urgency. It's often used when someone wants to hear a story, a piece of information, or a confession. It can imply that the person is ready to hear whatever is coming their way—whether it's good, bad, or unexpected.

စိတ်အားထက်သန်မှု သို့မဟုတ် တစ်စုံတစ်ယောက်ကို အရေးတကြီးဖြင့် ပြောပြရန် ဖိတ်ခေါ်ရန် အင်္ဂလိပ်စာတွင်မကြာခဏအသုံး
များသော informal အသုံးအနုန်းတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

Meaning:
"Lay it on me" means to present or deliver something to the speaker, often without hesitation. It can refer to anything from giving information, delivering a compliment, or sharing bad news.
The phrase often conveys eagerness, openness, or a sense of readiness for what is to come.

Examples:
When you're ready to hear a story:
Person 1: "I have a wild story from last night!"
Person 2: "Oh really? Lay it on me!"

When someone has good news and you're excited to hear it:
Person 1: "I just got a huge promotion at work!"
Person 2: "Lay it on me! Tell me all the details!"

When you want to hear bad news or a difficult situation:
Person 1: "I have something difficult to tell you."
Person 2: "Okay, lay it on me. I'm ready."

In a situation where someone is about to explain something in detail:
Person 1: "I need to go over this new project with you."
Person 2: "Alright, lay it on me—I'm ready to hear it."

When you're inviting someone to share something (compliments, feedback, etc.):

Variations:
"Lay it on thick" – တစ်စုံတစ်ဦးကို အလွန်ချီးကျူးပြောဆိုတာ၊ ပုံကြီးချဲ့ပြောဆိုကြတဲ့အခါ သုံးကြတယ်။

This means to exaggerate or be overly complimentary, often in a humorous or exaggerated way.
Person 1: "You were amazing in that presentation."
Person 2: "You're really laying it on thick now, aren't you?"
