Thailand Rural Area Education Foundation(ThaiREF) is a non-profit organization, which aims to provide more education opportunities for youths in rural areas of Thailand. Our missions are to assist the youths to develop their passion for learning and improve their competencies in foreign languages such as English and Mandarin.
ThaiREF has launched the Volunteers Teaching Program (VTP) for foreign teachers to volunteer and devote their time to students in rural areas of Northern Thailand. We are looking for retiring teachers, retired teachers or students who wish to have a meaningful gap year to teach primary school students either English or Mandarin and Maths. VTP teachers will be assigned to local government schools to teach for 3 hours a day in a span of one year (Feb 2023 - Jan 2024. Subjected to extent). ThaiREF will provide all our volunteering teachers with local working visas or aid in application for retirement visas, accommodation, meals and sufficient pocket money to live in Thailand.
Therefore, we need your support to join our program. Our registration period will start from 1 Aug 2022 to 30 Sep 2022. We will recruit a total of 10 VTP teachers (5 for English and another 5 for Mandarin & Maths) for the first stage.
泰国乡村教育基金会（ThaiREF）是一个为泰国乡村青年提供教育和学习机会的非盈利组织，主要培养他们对学习的热忱和提高自身外语水平（英文、中文）。
ThaiREF 刚推出一个为准备退休、已退休老师或想体验有意义的间隔年的学生所筹办的自愿者教师计划（VTP）。此计划给录取者提供长达一年（2023年2月- 2024年1月, 须延长合约期）到泰国乡村小学授课的体验。教师可选择教授（1）英文或 （2）中文和数学，每日需教三个小时的课。REF 将会为教师提供住宿、饮食、生活费和签证申请服务。
因此欢迎你们踊跃参加并支持我们的计划。此计划将于2022年8月1日开放报名，报名截止日期为2022年9月30日。我们将在第一阶段招收十名自愿者教师（英文和中文个各五名）。
Volunteer Requirements / 自愿者教师条件要求:
(1) Thai 泰文
Basic Thai Language is preferred, but not compulsory. Thai Language Beginner course will be provided prior to the program.
会说泰语的自愿者将占优势，不过我们也会在VTP开始前提供线上基础泰语教学课程。
(2) English (For English teachers)
At least an A* to C Grade in GCSEs in English or equivalent qualification, all with previous in-school teaching experience will be prioritized.
(3) 中文和数学教师
需拥有相关学位资格，如中文系学位、对外汉语教学学位、数学系学位等，或相似的语文资格。有相关教学经验者将会有较大的录取机会。
(4) Age 年龄
21- 60岁（报名日期截止之前）
