👩🏫 Academic Activities with Visiting Professor from New York University, USA
❇️ Professor Dr. Allison P. Squires from Rory Meyers College of Nursing, New York University, USA, visited the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, under the Visiting Professor initiative as part of the project "Enhancing Learning and Elevating Research to the International Level through Visiting Professor Collaboration" and the "Monthly Global Insight in Nursing Research program", held from 16-20 March 2026.
❇️ The visit aimed to provide faculty members, staff, and graduate students with opportunities to exchange knowledge and research experiences with international scholars, promote research development and international co-publications, and strengthen as well as sustain international research collaboration networks.
During this occasion, Professor Dr. Allison P. Squires conducted a range of academic activities, including research knowledge exchange sessions and special lectures on the following topics:
• Issues and Trends in Nursing Administration Research
• Best Practices for Survey Instrument
• Cross-Language Qualitative Research Methods
• Global Health 2.0
• Writing Research Paper for International Audience

🔸🔶 NurseCMU, Welcomes Students and Faculty Members from Asahi University, Japan, to Participate in Student Exchange Program
🔸 Associate Professor Dr. Phanida Juntasopeepun, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, warmly welcomed faculty members and undergraduate students from Asahi University, Japan. A total of six participants joined the program titled "Different Perspectives, Different Cultures," under the Inbound Student Capacity Development Program within the framework of inter-institutional collaboration.
🔸 The program aims to enhance students’ learning skills while providing opportunities to exchange perspectives and experiences as nursing students in a cross-cultural setting. It also seeks to strengthen relationships and foster academic collaboration networks between institutions at the international level. The program is held from 16-20 March 2026 at the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. The welcoming session took place at the Wilawan Senaratana Meeting Room, Building 4.

🔹 The Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, organized an academic activity featuring Professor Dr. Lusine Poghosyan, Professor of Nursing and Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Columbia University School of Nursing, USA, during her visit to the Faculty from 9-13 March 2026. This visit was conducted under the project entitled "Enhancing Learning and Elevating Research to the International Level through Visiting Professor Collaboration" and the "Monthly Global Insight in Nursing Research" program.
🔹🔹 The initiative aimed to provide faculty members, staff, and graduate students with opportunities to exchange knowledge and research experiences with international scholars, promote research development and international co-publications, and strengthen as well as sustain international research collaboration networks.
🔹🔹🔹 During her visit, Professor Poghosyan participated in several academic activities, including research knowledge exchange sessions, special lectures titled "Building a Program of Research: Nurse Practitioner Practice and Impact on Outcomes" and "Nurses’ Work Environment, Burnout, Job Satisfaction, and Turnover: Implications for Patient Care and Safety." 🔸◾️ The conference serves as a key regional academic platform in nursing, providing opportunities for scholars, experts, and students to exchange knowledge, present research, and strengthen international collaboration. ✳️ Associate Professor Dr. Craig Lockwood, Director of Implementation Science at the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, College of Health, The University of Adelaide, visited the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, from 16-26 February 2026.
✳️ The visit was organized under the project entitled “Enhancing Learning and Elevating Research to the International Level through Visiting Professor Collaboration” and the “Monthly Global Insight in Nursing Research”. 🟪 On Thursday, 19 February 2026, Faculty members and doctoral students from the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, participated in and presented their academic work at the International Mini Conference on Women’s Health. The conference served as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and research findings, provided opportunities to receive feedback from international scholars, and promoted the development of international academic collaboration networks. Lecturer Dr. Lawitra Khiaokham from the Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing Academic Group also presented her research findings at the conference.
🟪 The conference was organized by the University of Technology Sydney in collaboration with Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, and Mahidol University. The event was conducted in a hybrid format, both onsite at Mahidol University and online via Zoom Meetings.

🇦🇹 🤝 🇹🇭 Strengthening Academic Collaboration with Paracelsus Medical University, Austria
🔸 The Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University (NurseCMU), held an online meeting with the Institute of Nursing Science and Practice at Paracelsus Medical University (PMU), Austria, on February 17, 2026, to discuss avenues for academic collaboration.
🔸 The NurseCMU delegation was led by Associate Professor Dr. Phanida Juntasopeepun, Associate Dean, joined by Assistant Professor Dr. Nethong Namprom, Associate Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutima Meechamnan, Assistant Dean, and Assistant Professor Dr. Warawan Udomkhwamsuk, Lecturer in the Surgical Nursing Department. Representing PMU were Professor Dr. Nadja Nestler, Professor for Nursing Science and Advanced Nursing Practice, and Assistant Professor Dr. Patrick Kutschar, Research Associate.
🔸 Discussions focused on advancing collaboration between the two institutions, particularly exploring opportunities for joint initiatives under the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership scheme. The meeting also highlighted shared academic interests, including the potential development of a Pain Nursing Curriculum and its alignment with professional standards in pain nursing in Europe. The discussions also underscored mutual interests in future academic and research cooperation to support the advancement of nursing knowledge internationally.
