🎨 A global gathering of watercolor art in Chiang Mai!

Earlier this month, we had fun attending the CMU 60th Anniversary World Master’s Watercolor Exposition (CMU-WMW), The event featured over 300 incredible watercolor pieces from leading Thai and international artists.

The masterclasses and demonstrations were a major highlight, and as you can see, there were some epic group painting events. 📸

🎨 Bringing dreams to life through art.
In August 2024, we again had fun joining Global Children’s Art Programme (GloCAP) at the Children’s Shelter Foundation (CSF) - their 15th year hosting this event and our 10th year! And this year's workshop focused on the theme “Parachute of Dreams". Jointly led by Worawuth Srakaeo and , our task was to help the students create a mural, celebrating dreams and the power of community.

With the help of , Khamron Intradaeng, Saengmook Mookdavijitra, and Jarm Patcharee overseeing the drawing portion, the children learned new artistic and dance techniques, while drawing on their own cultural traditions.

📸 Here’s a look at moment from the workshop—the kids painting the large mural, creating beautiful bird drawings, and the big finale - dancing around their parachute of dreams.

It’s inspiring to see these young artists express their hopes and dreams through art! 🦉✨

Every student brings their own perspective to our watercolour lessons. It’s always exciting to see how their work evolves, from early brushstrokes to completed pieces.

2 days, 3 Watercolour Masterclasses
A busy weekend with an early start Saturday morning with Pornnarong Channuwong from the Faculty of Architecture, Khon Kaen University, then off to work with Supawat Hirunthanawiwat from the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University

Sunday was cat day! Off to Lampang to try out a couple of styles of painting with Chatchawarn Ruksa.

By the way, some of the paintings are for sale in the gallery (it depends on how much we want to keep the cat ones though 🐱).

So that was a very long hiatus from social media! To kick things off here's a few things we've been doing this year. And let's start with the painting Wut donated to the auction held by in Bangkok in November.

We were very glad to hear it went to a good home and raised 15,000thb donation for this well deserving NGO here in Chiang Mai.
