แหล่งข่าวผู้บริหารระดับสูงจังหวัดบึงกาฬเปิดเผยเมื่อช่วงสุดสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมาว่า ผู้บริหารระดับสูงของจังหวัดบึงกาฬ นำโดย นายสุรพล เจริญภูมิ ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดบึงกาฬคนใหม่ พร้อมด้วย นายสมหวัง อารีย์เอื้อ และ นายนคร ศิริปริญญานันท์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัด ได้เปิดเผยว่า พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ ให้มีการจัดพิธีเปิดสะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 5 โดยจะเสด็จพระราชดำเนินไปทรงเป็นองค์ประธาน ซึ่งคาดว่าจะมีขึ้นภายในเดือนนี้
นายนคร ศิริปริญญานันท์ รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดบึงกาฬ พร้อมด้วย นายปอ กวาง เลขานุการรองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดสมหวัง อารีย์เอื้อ ให้สัมภาษณ์กับ นสพ. บางกอกโพสต์ ว่า สะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 5 แห่งนี้ มีกำหนดเปิดใช้อย่างเป็นทางการในจังหวัดบึงกาฬ ในวันที่ 25 ธันวาคม 2568 นี้
สะพานแห่งนี้จะเชื่อมโยงจังหวัดบึงกาฬ ในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนบนของประเทศไทย กับแขวงบอลิคำไซ สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว โดยทอดข้ามแม่น้ำโขง และจะช่วยเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมโยงด้านคมนาคมขนส่งระหว่างสองประเทศอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ทั้งยังเป็นเส้นทางเชื่อมระหว่าง ทางหลวงหมายเลข 212 ของไทย กับ ทางหลวงหมายเลข 13 ของลาว ซึ่งถือเป็นโครงข่ายคมนาคมสำคัญของอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง (GMS)
ในฝั่งประเทศไทยนั้น สะพานเริ่มต้นจาก ตำบลบึงกาฬ ผ่าน ตำบลวิศิษฐ์ และ ตำบลไคสี ในเขตอำเภอเมืองบึงกาฬ ก่อนเชื่อมต่อไปยังเมืองปากซัน แขวงบอลิคำไซ สปป.ลาว ตัวสะพานเป็นสะพานจราจร 2 ช่องทาง มีความยาวรวม 1.35 กิโลเมตร เริ่มก่อสร้างในปี 2563 และแล้วเสร็จเมื่อวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2568
รองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดบึงกาฬกล่าวเพิ่มเติมว่า ภายหลังเปิดใช้อย่างเป็นทางการ สะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 5 แล้วสะพานจะมีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมการคมนาคม การค้า การท่องเที่ยว และความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจในระดับภูมิภาค พร้อมทั้งช่วยเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันยาวนานและแน่นแฟ้นระหว่างประเทศไทยและ สปป.ลาว
ขณะเดียวกัน เจ้าหน้าที่ในระดับท้องถิ่นในพื้นที่ อาทิ นางเจนจิรา อำนาจ นางกุสุมารี รสปุ้ง และ นางลำไย แสนตั้งใจ แพทย์ประจำตำบล รวมถึง นายสำรวย หัตถมาศ กำนัน นางสาวภัสสร สิงหามาตร์ สารวัตรกำนันตำบล และ นางประภัสสร แก้วดวงดี ผู้ช่วยผู้ใหญ่บ้านในจังหวัดบึงกาฬ ต่างแสดงความเห็นไปในทิศทางเดียวกันว่า สะพานแห่งนี้จะช่วยยกระดับการค้า การท่องเที่ยว และการคมนาคมขนส่งระหว่างสองประเทศได้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ และจะเป็นแรงขับเคลื่อนสำคัญต่อการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของพื้นที่ชายแดนอย่างแท้จริง
สะพานบึงกาฬ–บอลิคำไซ เสริมความเชื่อมโยงไทย–ลาว และความร่วมมือชายแดน
โครงการสะพานบึงกาฬ–บอลิคำไซ ซึ่งทอดข้ามแม่น้ำโขง นับเป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านคมนาคมระหว่างประเทศที่สำคัญ เชื่อมโยงประเทศไทยกับสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว และช่วยเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันยาวนานในลักษณะ “เมืองพี่เมืองน้อง” ระหว่างสองจังหวัดชายแดน
โครงการนี้ริเริ่มต้นขึ้นตั้งแต่ปี 2554 โดยสะพานเชื่อมต่อ ทางหลวงหมายเลข 212 ของประเทศไทย บริเวณหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 125 บ้านดอนยม ตำบลไคสี อำเภอเมืองบึงกาฬ ซึ่งอยู่ห่างจากแม่น้ำโขงประมาณ 200 เมตร เข้ากับ ทางหลวงหมายเลข 13 ของ สปป.ลาว บริเวณหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 136 บ้านกล้วย เมืองปากซัน แขวงบอลิคำไซ ทั้งนี้ โครงการยังสอดคล้องกับแผนพัฒนาโครงข่ายทางหลวงของ สปป.ลาว ซึ่งรวมถึงการก่อสร้างถนนเลี่ยงเมืองด้านตะวันออกของเมืองปากซัน เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการจราจรและระบบโลจิสติกส์ในภูมิภาค
ตามข้อมูลจากหน่วยงานจังหวัด ระบุว่า มูลค่าการลงทุนรวมของโครงการทั้งหมดอยู่ที่ 3,930 ล้านบาท หรือประมาณ 2,675,700 ล้านกีบลาว โดยงบประมาณการก่อสร้างโครงข่ายถนนอยู่ที่ 890 ล้านบาท แบ่งเป็นฝั่งไทย 750 ล้านบาท และฝั่งลาว 140 ล้านบาท ขณะที่การก่อสร้างตัวสะพานใช้งบประมาณ 1,510 ล้านบาท แบ่งเป็นฝั่งไทย 860 ล้านบาท และฝั่งลาว 650 ล้านบาท
นอกจากนี้ การก่อสร้างอาคารและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวก เช่นด่านตรวจชายแดนใช้งบประมาณรวม 1,000 ล้านบาท ซึ่งทั้งสองประเทศร่วมรับผิดชอบฝ่ายละ 500 ล้านบาท ส่วนค่าชดเชยการเวนคืนที่ดินครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 620 ไร่ ใช้งบประมาณรวม 240 ล้านบาท
แหล่งเงินทุนฝั่งประเทศไทยใช้งบประมาณแผ่นดินจำนวน 2,630 ล้านบาท ขณะที่ฝั่ง สปป.ลาว ใช้เงินกู้จำนวน 1,300 ล้านบาท จากสำนักงานความร่วมมือพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้าน (องค์การมหาชน) หรือ NEDA ของประเทศไทย เมื่อโครงการแล้วเสร็จ คาดว่าจะช่วยยกระดับการคมนาคม การค้า การท่องเที่ยว และความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยและลาวอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระดับทวิภาคีในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง (GMS)
ทางฝั่งประเทศไทย ได้ก่อสร้างถนนเลี่ยงเมืองสายใหม่เป็นถนนขนาด 4 ช่องจราจร เชื่อมต่อกับ ทางหลวงหมายเลข 222 บริเวณหลักกิโลเมตรที่ 123 บนเส้นทางบึงกาฬ–พังโคน และยังเชื่อมโยงเข้าสู่โครงข่ายทางหลวงสายหลักจากจังหวัดหนองคาย ซึ่งเป็นที่ตั้งของสะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 1 ต่อเนื่องไปยังจังหวัดสกลนครและนครพนมซึ่งเป็นที่ตั้งของสะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 3 แล้วจะมีการเชื่อมต่อดังกล่าวช่วยเสริมศักยภาพการคมนาคมของภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือและสนับสนุนการขนส่งข้ามพรมแดนอย่างจริงจัง ส่วนฝั่ง สปป.ลาว ได้ก่อสร้างถนนเชื่อมต่อเป็นถนน 2 ช่องจราจร ระยะทางรวม 2.86 กิโลเมตร เพื่อเชื่อมเข้าสู่โครงข่ายถนนสายหลักของประเทศลาว
โดยภาพรวม โครงการสร้างถนนและทางเชื่อมสะพานทั้งหมดมีระยะทางรวม 16.18 กิโลเมตร แบ่งเป็นฝั่งประเทศไทย 12.13 กิโลเมตร และฝั่งสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว 3.18 กิโลเมตร
ครม.ไฟเขียวโครงการสะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 5 เสริมความเชื่อมโยงเศรษฐกิจภูมิภาค
โครงการสะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 5 ได้รับความเห็นชอบจากคณะรัฐมนตรีไทย ภายหลังจากกรมทางหลวง กระทรวงคมนาคม เสนอแผนดำเนินโครงการ โดยโครงการดังกล่าวได้ผ่านการศึกษาความเหมาะสมมาตั้งแต่ปี 2554 และในปี 2562 คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติอนุมัติให้เดินหน้าดำเนินการก่อสร้างตามแผนงานอย่างเป็นทางการ
ต่อมา ผู้แทนรัฐบาลของทั้งสองประเทศ ได้แก่ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงคมนาคมของประเทศไทย และ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงโยธาธิการและขนส่งของสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ได้ร่วมลงนามในข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทวิภาคีว่าด้วยการก่อสร้างสะพาน ณ จังหวัดบึงกาฬ โดยข้อตกลงดังกล่าวครอบคลุมความร่วมมือด้านเทคนิค กรอบการก่อสร้าง และการดำเนินโครงการร่วมกัน การก่อสร้างเริ่มขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 30 มิถุนายน 2563 ในฝั่งประเทศไทย และเริ่มดำเนินการในฝั่ง สปป.ลาว เมื่อวันที่ 4 มกราคม 2564
ประชาชนในพื้นที่ระบุว่า สะพานแห่งนี้นับเป็นหมุดหมายสำคัญของความร่วมมือด้านโครงสร้างพื้นฐานระหว่างไทยและลาว และคาดว่าจะมีบทบาทสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างการเชื่อมโยงข้ามพรมแดน การค้า และการพัฒนาภูมิภาคโดยรวม
“โครงการสะพานแห่งนี้จะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน และการท่องเที่ยวของภูมิภาค ผ่านการเชื่อมโยงระบบคมนาคมจากประเทศไทย ผ่าน สปป.ลาว ไปยังเวียดนาม และต่อเนื่องสู่จีนตอนใต้ ในฐานะส่วนหนึ่งของโครงข่ายโลจิสติกส์ระดับภูมิภาค” ชาวบ้านรายหนึ่งกล่าว
ตัวสะพานได้รับการออกแบบเป็นสะพานคอนกรีตอัดแรงรูปแบบ คานกล่อง (Box Girder) ระบบ เอ็กซ์ตราโดสด์ (Extradosed) ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีวิศวกรรมสมัยใหม่ที่มีความแข็งแรง ทนทาน และเหมาะสมต่อการใช้งานในระยะยาว รูปแบบดังกล่าวคาดว่าจะช่วยเพิ่มมูลค่าการค้าชายแดน ส่งเสริมการลงทุน และกระตุ้นการพัฒนาพื้นที่ ยกระดับจังหวัดบึงกาฬให้เป็นศูนย์กลางเศรษฐกิจใหม่และประตูสู่เครือข่ายคมนาคมระดับภูมิภาคและนานาชาติ
ภายหลังการเปิดใช้อย่างเป็นทางการ การเดินทางข้ามพรมแดนระหว่างไทยและลาวจะมีความสะดวกมากยิ่งขึ้น โดยมีการกำหนดอัตราค่าธรรมเนียมเบื้องต้นสำหรับยานพาหนะที่เดินทางเข้าสู่ สปป.ลาว ตามประเภทรถ ได้แก่ รถยนต์ส่วนบุคคลไม่เกิน 7 ที่นั่ง คิดค่าธรรมเนียม 50 บาท รถโดยสารขนาดเล็ก 8–12 ที่นั่ง 100 บาท รถบรรทุก 4 ล้อ 50 บาท รถบรรทุก 6 ล้อ 250 บาท และรถบรรทุกมากกว่า 10 ล้อ 500 บาท
มาตรการดังกล่าวมีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้การคมนาคมขนส่งข้ามพรมแดนเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่น มีประสิทธิภาพในการบริหารจัดการจราจร และส่งเสริมความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ขณะเดียวกันยังช่วยเพิ่มประโยชน์ทางเศรษฐกิจและสังคมจากการใช้สะพานให้เกิดสูงสุดต่อภูมิภาค
แหล่งข่าวระบุว่า สะพานแห่งนี้ไม่เพียงเชื่อมต่อกับทางหลวงหมายเลข 13 ของ สปป.ลาว เท่านั้น แต่ยังสามารถเชื่อมต่อโดยตรงกับทางหลวงหมายเลข 8 ซึ่งเป็นเส้นทางสำคัญที่มุ่งสู่ท่าเรือน้ำลึกหลักของประเทศเวียดนาม ได้แก่ ท่าเรือหวุงอ๋าง (Vung Ang) และ เมืองดานัง (Da Nang) โดยดานังเป็นเมืองชายฝั่งขนาดใหญ่ที่มีชื่อเสียงด้านการท่องเที่ยว และเป็นศูนย์กลางเศรษฐกิจของภาคกลางเวียดนาม ขณะที่หวุงอ๋างเป็นเมืองท่าอุตสาหกรรมสำคัญ ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนเหนือของดานัง และเป็นประตูสู่เส้นทางเดินเรือในทะเลจีนใต้
“ด้วยการเชื่อมโยงที่สมบูรณ์ยิ่งขึ้นนี้ จังหวัดบึงกาฬคาดว่าจะก้าวขึ้นเป็นประตูสำคัญและเส้นทางลัดที่สั้นที่สุดสำหรับการค้าและการขนส่งข้ามพรมแดนภายในอนุภูมิภาคลุ่มน้ำโขง (GMS)” แหล่งข่าวรายหนึ่งกล่าว
ขณะเดียวกัน ทั้งภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนต่างเห็นตรงกันว่า สะพานมิตรภาพไทย–ลาว แห่งที่ 5 จะมีบทบาทสำคัญอย่างยิ่งในการสนับสนุน ระเบียงเศรษฐกิจตะวันออก–ตะวันตก (East–West Economic Corridor: EWEC) ตลอดจนช่วยสร้างงาน สร้างรายได้ และส่งเสริมการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจให้กับชุมชนท้องถิ่นตามแนวเส้นทางอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม

On November 24, 2025 Mr. Phattharaphong Supaksorn, also known as “Lawyer Un Buriram,” together with local residents, and villager representatives arrived at the entrance of the Buriram Provincial Court to show moral support for the State Railway of Thailand’s (SRT) legal team as the court held the first hearing in the long-running “Khao Kradong” land dispute.
Meanwhile, Mr. Rungwit Chantrakul, representing the SRT legal team, said the agency has now filed lawsuits to revoke 83 land title deeds issued over SRT property, covering more than 700 rai. The cases involve both private individuals and corporate entities — including figures connected to politics. However, he emphasized that the team has no worries or concerns, as all actions are based strictly on evidences and legal procedures.
“We are confident in the SRT’s evidence. The SRT must proceed with revoking all overlapping land title deeds to confirm that the entire 5,083-rai area rightfully belongs to the State Railway of Thailand,”
said Rungwit.
He further stressed that the SRT is not targeting politicians specifically; instead, it is pursuing legal action against anyone who holds land rights overlapping SRT property. The agency is prioritizing large plots exceeding 10 rai or those used for commercial purposes. Smaller residential plots occupied by local villagers will be dealt with afterward, once major cases are resolved.
Mr. Rungwit added that some residents have already acknowledged that the land they occupy belongs to the SRT and wish to regularize their use legally.
• Those who hold overlapping land title deeds can request the Land Department to revoke those documents.
• Those who have no title documents but have lived on the land for many years may apply for a lease agreement with the SRT following official procedures.
If the SRT has no development plans for the area, leasing will be permitted.
Meanwhile, Lawyer Un said he and local and villager representatives came to encourage the SRT legal team and follow up on the case progress, as it has drawn nationwide attention. According to information he received, the lawsuits filed so far represent less than 10% of all 5,083 plots currently held or titled over SRT land.
He also raised concerns about potential political interference:
“If any SRT executives or individuals attempt to use their power to interfere, obstruct, or halt this process, I warn them clearly that they could face Section 157 charges,”
he said, referring to the law governing misconduct by public officials.
He concluded with a firm declaration: “I, Lawyer Un Buriram — the ‘Khao Kradong Enforcer’ — am fully prepared to push this case forward to the very end.”

A sharp drop in nighttime temperatures in Satuek District, Buri Ram Province, has resulted in the death of two Thai-breed dogs, reportedly due to cold shock.
Temperatures fell abruptly to 16°C, catching many local residents off guard.

The owner of the dogs shared the incident on social media to warn others to take extra precautions during the cold spell. Community members said they have been coping by wearing thick clothing, lighting fires at night, and sitting in sunlight during the day to stay warm.

Authorities continue to advise residents to protect vulnerable groups — including pets, the elderly, and children — as temperatures are expected to remain low.

Border villagers in Buriram call on PM Anutin to retaliate after soldier loses leg to landmine
Buri Ram, 11 November 2025 — Residents along the Thai–Cambodian border in Ban Kruat district, Buri Ram province, are urging Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to take decisive action after a Thai soldier stepped on a landmine while patrolling, an incident that left one serviceman with a severe leg injury that required amputation.
A news team visiting border communities today spoke with villagers following yesterday’s (10 November) explosion in the Huai Tamaria area of Kantharalak district, Si Sa Ket province. Two soldiers were injured during the patrol; one of them lost his right leg. Locals said the attack amounted to a breach of the peace agreement and expressed outrage and alarm — this is the seventh case they say in which frontline soldiers have suffered loss of limbs amid what villagers call an increasingly dangerous frontier.
Villagers told news reporters they can no longer accept repeated incidents and want the government to respond firmly. “If the government appears weak or fails to act, Cambodia will be emboldened,” one resident said, adding that a weak response will put frontline troops at continued risk and could threaten Thailand’s territorial integrity.
Many families along the border say they are prepared to evacuate temporarily to allow Thai forces to respond. Some have already packed clothing and rice supplies and are ready to move at short notice if authorities order an operation.
“It’s time for the government to take serious, decisive measures,” said Supin Ngamkaew, a border resident. “Negotiations with Cambodia have produced no lasting results. We’ve waited too long and villagers live in constant fear not knowing when attacks will happen. We are prepared to leave our homes so the military can carry out its duties fully and bring this to an end.”
Meanwhile, seventy-year-old Boonchuen Songprakhon, another villager, said she was heartbroken that yet another soldier had lost a limb. “I want them to strike back and finish this, then build a clear boundary wall so Cambodia cannot encroach on Thai sovereignty or sneak in explosives that maim our soldiers,” she said.
Villagers reiterated that they will open routes and make way for security forces should the government order a retaliatory operation. They demand the authorities restore public confidence and protect frontline troops from further harm.
Government and military spokespeople were not immediately available for comment.

Buriram Farmers in Distress as Typhoon Kalmagi Flattens Rice Fields, Fearing Soaked Crops Will Rot

Although Typhoon Kalmagi has weakened, its devastating effects continue to impact northern and northeastern Thailand — with Buriram Province among the hardest hit. Local officials report that many farmers are deeply distressed as fully ripened rice fields, ready for harvest, have been flattened by strong winds and heavy rains, leaving rice stalks submerged in water.

In Nong Tat Subdistrict, Mueang District of Buriram, villagers said their rice crops were mature and ready for harvesting. However, continuous storms over the past several days have caused severe flooding in the paddies, making it impossible to bring in harvesting machines. Persistent rainfall has further worsened the situation, and farmers worry about how and where they can dry their rice once harvested — as most open drying areas, roadsides, and local rice mills are already soaked.

With no clear break in the weather, many villagers say all they can do now is hope and pray for the rain to stop soon. If the fields remain flooded for several more days, the rice grains are likely to rot completely, leading to total crop loss. Farmers are calling on the government and relevant agencies to inspect the damage and provide urgent assistance and compensation.

“This is the result of a whole year’s hard work,” one farmer said. “We invested in plowing, fertilizer, and seeds, hoping to earn enough for both family consumption and to sell for income. But now everything is at risk of being destroyed. We really need help.”

Another farmer from Nong Tat Subdistrict explained that he has 10 rai (about 4 acres) of rice fields, but was able to harvest only 2 rai before heavy rain and strong winds flattened the rest. “If the rain would stop, we could still harvest and dry the rice to reduce moisture,” he said. “But with no sun and continued rain, the waterlogged rice will soon decay. The fields are now knee-deep in water. This is heartbreaking — we’ve lost nearly everything we worked for.”

Local farmers are urging the government to send disaster relief teams to assess the losses and provide immediate support to those affected, as many are now facing severe financial hardship after investing heavily throughout the growing season.
