A few days into the school year, and our BYIS storybook characters are already writing quite the tale. 📖✨

Princesses, sailors, firefighters, park rangers, and everyone in between showed up in full form for our First Day of School, ready to turn a new year into their next great chapter.

Because that's the thing about first days: they're a little bit nerves, a little bit costume magic, and a whole lot of "what adventure comes next?" From new backpacks to new best friends, our students walked in as their favorite characters and haven't stopped writing their own story since.

Here's to a year full of plot twists worth remembering.

Safety First at BYIS

At BYIS, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority.

Our teachers and staff recently participated in an Active Shooter Response Training led by our local police. Through expert guidance and a realistic emergency simulation, they strengthened their skills in lockdown procedures, emergency response, first aid, and crisis management.

We sincerely thank our local police officers for their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to helping us maintain a safe and secure learning environment.

By preparing today, we are better equipped to protect tomorrow. 💙🏫

🥪 Cooking Up Confidence, One Sandwich at a Time! 🌟

As part of our Summer Camp focus on Leadership, Independence, and Real-World Skills, our students became Young Chefs by making their own sandwiches.

This fun, hands-on activity helped students build confidence, follow instructions, practice good hygiene, make decisions, and work independently while learning valuable life skills.

At BYIS, we believe the best learning happens through real-life experiences that prepare students for success both in and beyond the classroom.

💰🛒 Smart Shoppers, Bright Savers at BYIS! 🌟

Our Summer Camp students became smart shoppers as they explored the exciting world of money through a fun role-playing activity! Using printed play money and coins, they learned how to identify needs versus wants, make wise spending decisions, and understand the importance of saving.

At BYIS, we believe that the best lessons are learned through hands-on experiences, helping our students build confidence and practical life skills that will benefit them for years to come.

Real-world learning came to life as our students enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Lotus Supermarket!

With a set budget in hand, they put their classroom learning into action by practicing budgeting, counting money, comparing prices, and making thoughtful purchasing decisions. Along the way, they discovered the value of saving, prioritising needs over wants, and spending wisely.

At BYIS, we believe meaningful learning happens when students experience it firsthand. By connecting classroom lessons with real-life situations, we nurture confident, responsible, and financially aware learners who are equipped with practical life skills for the future.
