📚🤖 AI, inequality, future skills, humanities, esports, migrant education, empathy, and “humanity” in the AI era ...
Over the past month, there have been many education-related news articles and opinion pieces across different Bangkok Post sections, including Education, Editorial & Letters, and Opinion 📰📚 The world is changing very quickly, and ideas and plans for education seem to be changing just as fast 🌏🤖
At the same time, it is still unclear how quickly people and institutions can really adapt in practice. How can change happen across the whole system, not only within small groups of people who already have access to good education, technology, and supportive facilities? That is probably something we still need to keep watching closely 👀
Some recurring topics include:
• AI and the future of education
• How schools and universities should prepare young people
• Future skills such as languages, digital skills, creativity, and vocational skills
• Educational inequality and access to education
• The return of humanities, empathy, and “humanity” in the AI era
Some interesting headlines:
• The generation that grew up with AI hates it
• AI can’t do the stuff that makes us human — yet
• B80-million Thai-language AI project launched
• Universities told to prep students for AI future
• Stop undervaluing vocational talent
• Education beyond prejudice
• School esports move targets digital skills
