Thai has special words to describe different times of the day:

เช้า (Cháo) – Morning: from sunrise until around 9 AM.

สาย (Săai) – Late in the Morning: from around 10 AM until before noon.

เที่ยง (Tîiang) – Noon: exactly 12 PM, lunchtime.

บ่าย (Bàai) – Afternoon: from 1 PM to around 3–4 PM.

เย็น (Yen) – Evening: from around 4 PM to sunset.

ค่ำ (Khâm) – Night: after sunset until late at night.

"วัน" (wan) means "day" → It's placed in front of every day.

Each day also has an associated color in Thai culture:

Monday: Yellow

Tuesday: Pink

Wednesday: Green
