On April, our Primary ICT Department led an engaging and inspiring assembly for all students. Teacher Sav began by celebrating the anniversary of the World Wide Web going public, reminding us of the incredible impact technology has on our daily lives and learning.

Teacher Efendi then introduced the upcoming 3D Design Competition, encouraging students to explore their creativity and digital skills.

A special highlight was Patter from P3J, who shared his “Dream House” project created using Tinkercad in ICT class. He confidently explained his design and ideas, showcasing wonderful creativity and effort.

Our Primary students had an exciting and inspiring Author’s Visit with children’s author Janice Santikarn! Through her lively storytelling, she shared The Little Blue Tuk Tuk to the Rescue and Nawin Saves the Elephants, meaningful stories that highlight kindness, bravery, and caring for animals. These stories captured students’ attention and delivered an important message about protecting wildlife. Her engaging style made the stories come alive and sparked students’ imagination.

Janice also spoke about her personal journey, including her experience working as a scientist, showing students that there are many different paths they can take in the future. The visit concluded with a wonderful book signing session, giving students the chance to meet the author and have their books signed. It was a memorable experience that inspired a love for reading and storytelling!

Our Kindergarten was full of smiles and laughter as we welcomed children’s author Janice Santikarn for a fun and engaging storytelling session! She brought ‘Koko the Monkey Lost in Bangkok’ to life using a playful monkey puppet. Students loved following Koko’s adventure as they discovered different places around Bangkok featured in the story.

The fun continued as Janice also shared ‘The Little Blue Tuk Tuk’, where students were invited to imagine that they were driving their own tuk-tuks! They bounced along bumpy roads as the author created lively sound effects that made the experience come alive. The visit ended on a special note with a book signing, where students had the chance to meet her and take home signed copies. It was a lot of fun and a truly memorable experience!

At SISB Thonburi, our Secondary-Sixth Form students are developing essential digital literacy skills during Pastoral Care and Career Guidance (PCCG) lessons. Using resources from the National Cyber Security Centre (UK), this programme helps students build the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to navigate the risks of online life safely and responsibly.

Through three focused lessons, students learn how to protect personal information, manage devices and accounts securely, and identify online scams while knowing where to seek support. These lessons empower our students to become confident, responsible, and safe digital citizens.
