Chapman International College

In a significant stride toward strengthening educational efforts and leadership, two impactful teachers training events were recently held—one in Cambodia and another in a Creative Access Area (CAA).

From April 1 to 4, 2025, twelve dedicated teachers from two districts, along with one teacher from a pioneer district, gathered in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for an intensive training session. Led with great enthusiasm, the event received strong support from National Director Samnang, who expressed his joy at seeing the commitment of the participants. The training focused on enhancing teaching skills and beginning to lay the groundwork for long-term ministry goals leading up to 2030.

Shortly after, on April 8-9, the CAA training was held at Zion Center, bringing together pastors and teachers from the southern and central zones. Like the Cambodia event, this training emphasized skill development and collaborative planning for the future.

Both trainings reflect a shared commitment to equipping leaders, empowering teachers, and building a strong foundation for growth and transformation across these countries in the years to come.

With the aftermath of the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in central Myanmar on March 28,2025, the Church of the Nazarene, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM), and Chapman International College (CIC) have been collaborating in responding to the affected communities.

Last night, a Trauma recovery training kicked off with teachers and students of CIC Myanmar facilitated by SEA Field NCM coordinator Rev. Jazz Eugenio. The training will continue until Saturday at the Yangon campus. This group will respond together with other pastors in the coming days at Mandalay, assisting the Central District reaponse team.

Bas is a second year residential student at Chiangmai campus of Chapman International College Thailand. While studying he is assigned to pastor a pioneer work in Ho-e gup gop in Northern Thailand District. Every weekend he drives his motorcycle to reach the village. Bas is maybe young, but is faithful and dedicated to serve the Lord.

The church meets for worship and Bible study at a house owned by a member. Sadly, few months ago, this house was burned to ashes. Despite of this, Bas continue to encourage the members to be resilient and to keep sharing the gospel to the community. Furthermore, we praise God the Northern Thailand District was able to purchase a land where the church is now praying to build a place of worship and a parsonage.

Congratulations to the 27 students who have marched for graduation at the 6th Graduation ceremony of Chapman Institute of Theology (CIT) Thailand held at Bangkok First Church of the Nazarene. Graduating class includes 15 Diploma of Ministry, 5 Certificate of Ministry & 7 Certificate of Lay Ministry.

The ceremony is significantly special as it marks CIT's first graduation since Covid-19 pandemic. "Your achievement today," states Chancellor Eugenio, "is a testament to God's sufficient grace and your unwavering commitment to your calling." We are deeply honored and grateful to Dr. Bill Kwon, the commencement speaker, for the wisdom, inspiration and charge he brought to the graduating class.

Pray that they will be steadfast in God's ministry.

Chapman International College (CIC) congratulates Sayama Ma Wah for her appointment as the first District Superintendent of the newest District in Myanmar - Myanmar Southeast District.

Sayama Ma Wah is an alumna of Chapman International College. She graduated Bachelor of Theology in 2008.

The Lord calls, equips, and continually provides for Chapman International College (CIC). And because you pray and generously give, the second floor of the main building of CIC Myitkyina Campus in Myanmar has been completed. It will serve as college chapel and will host various trainings, workshops, district camps and assemblies - all towards leadership transformation and district development of Northern Myanmar district.
