When children are given time to explore their interests, question, experiment, and try again, they develop far more than a finished piece of work. Through process-based learning, they build confidence, independence, problem-solving, communication, and creative thinking.

This is why play-based and inquiry-led approaches are so effective. Each child responds, creates, and learns differently — each while developing the ability to think deeply, collaborate, persist through challenges, and move beyond surface-level and conceptual understanding, into meaningful engagement with the world around them.

What does it look like when a child is truly engaged in their learning?

We are delighted to invite your child to Wondrous Minds: An Early Years Discovery Day at The Jataka School.

This immersive event is designed for children ages 2-5 and offers them the opportunity to explore, experience, and engage with classroom life in our newly opened campus.

During the morning, children will take their seats, settle into a calm, reflective space, and engage in play-based explorations designed to nurture curiosity and confidence. Through thoughtfully guided provocations and moments of pause, they will discover, reflect, and connect in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Parents are invited to share in the experience, enjoy light refreshments, and meet our founding educators who will welcome our early years students when the school opens in August 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to see our Distinctively Jataka approach in action, where mindfulness and reflection are at the heart of learning and our Jataka community.

Through an immersive (English-Mandarin) programme, Jataka thoughtfully interweaves the British curriculum with an innovative Dharma learning framework from Middle Way Education (USA). With an intentionally small learning community, Jataka offers opportunities for personalised learning and future-ready skills, delivered through a research- and play-based approach.

Our Contemplation & VIEW team empower our experienced educators to introduce concepts such as mind, interdependence, empathy, and wholeness through integrated moments of pause, opportunities for children to ask those big questions, a farm-to-table ethos, and eco-sustainability efforts.
