How do young children begin to understand what care means beyond the classroom?
For SBS Bangkok's Toddlers, Nursery and Reception students, the answer came through a hands-on Hospital Demonstration on campus.
Students joined a short presentation, demonstration and Q&A before observing an ambulance demonstration up close. They explored emergency equipment, asked questions, and saw how nurses support people inside an emergency vehicle.
Community helpers can feel like a big idea for young children. Experiences like this make it more real: people they can meet, tools they can see, and caring roles they can begin to understand.
A meaningful Early Years lesson does not always happen at a desk. Sometimes it begins with curiosity, a real ambulance, and a chance to ask how people help others.

Student Spotlight | Pang and Panva, Year 6 and Year 3
Stepping onto the stage as a sibling duo takes confidence, trust, and the courage to perform together.
On 5 April 2026, Pang and Panva took part in the Tokyo Inter Int'l Music & Dance Competition 2026 at Srinakharinwirot University, Prasarnmit (SWU).
Competing in Pop Dance Duo B (Ages 10-11), they received a Silver Award in their first competition together as a sibling duo.
This achievement celebrates not only their performance, but also the teamwork, dedication, and stage confidence they brought to the experience.
Congratulations to Pang and Panva on this special Student Spotlight.

The strongest community moments often begin with simple conversations.
On 15 May, the PTA Coffee Morning for International Day of Families created a warm space for parents to connect, share voices, and be part of the everyday life of the school.
These moments matter because partnership is built in real relationships. When families feel connected to one another and to the school, the community around each child becomes stronger.
Thank you to our PTA and families for helping make SBS Bangkok feel like a community with heart.

Every step had a purpose.
On Friday 15 May, S.T.R.I.D.E. Day brought Heart & Sole Week to a meaningful close at SBS Bangkok.
Students completed laps, scanned their QR codes, and added each stride to their House total. The challenge was simple, but the message was strong: every student, every step, and every contribution counted.
S.T.R.I.D.E. stands for Service, Teamwork, Resilience, Inclusivity, Determination and Engagement. Across the day, those values were visible through movement, participation and House spirit across campus.
Step by step, students showed what school values look like when they are lived together.

Movement looked different in every corner of SBS Bangkok during Heart & Sole Week.
From Skip-in and Just Dance to Dodge Ball, Cup Stacking, House Rocket Stomp, Soccer Shoot Out and Tug of War, Heart & Sole Week brought energy, movement and House spirit into the rhythm of school life.
Across 11-15 May, students took part in a range of activities designed to make movement visible, shared and purposeful throughout the school day.
The value of the week was not only in being active. It was in seeing how movement can build confidence, participation, teamwork and a stronger sense of connection across the school community.

Helping Years 1-3 build confidence before the journey begins
On 12 May, Years 1-3 families joined the Week Without Walls Parent Information Session to understand how the upcoming learning experience will support younger students beyond the usual classroom routine.
For younger learners, confidence is built before the experience begins. It comes from knowing what to expect, feeling prepared, and seeing that school and home are working from the same understanding.
The session helped families see how Week Without Walls can support curiosity, independence, and age-appropriate learning beyond the classroom.

Preparing families for Years 4-8 expedition learning
On 11 and 12 May, parents from Years 4-8 joined our Expedition Parent Briefings to learn more about the residential learning experiences ahead.
The briefings gave families a clearer understanding of the purpose, preparation, supervision, safety arrangements, and communication that will support students throughout the upcoming expeditions.
For Years 4-8, these experiences extend learning beyond the classroom through outdoor learning, environmental awareness, service learning, and team-building experiences. They are designed to help students build confidence, self-reliance, social connection, and resilience in new settings.
Strong preparation starts before the journey begins. It starts when school and home share the same understanding of how each child will be supported as they take this next step.
