Now that the term is under way, these are some of the new faces children are getting to know at SBS Bangkok.

Meet the new teachers and staff who have joined SBS Bangkok for the 2026/27 academic year. Each profile tells you a little about the person behind the name: their role, what matters to them and how they approach their work with children.

Some work with children in the classroom. Others support the school day in different ways. Together, they help us make sure every child is known and supported at school.

Today, our campus feels complete again as students return for the first day of the 2026/27 academic year. Welcome back to our returning families, and a very special welcome to every child joining us for the first time.

The first day is a chance to find your classroom, meet your teachers and begin feeling at home. In our close-knit school community, every child is known and supported as they settle into the new term.

At SBS Bangkok, staff induction is personal and precise.

New Staff Induction gives every colleague a structured start. The programme covers safeguarding and child protection, class culture and routines, curriculum planning, assessment and reporting, student wellbeing, and communication with families.

Every colleague is paired with a Staff Buddy and meets with school leaders and specialist teams before taking up their role. They have time to learn the systems and shared expectations that keep the school day consistent.

That is what makes SBS Bangkok distinctive: a close-knit school where people are known personally and prepared to a clearly shared standard.

Student Spotlight | Proudanda (Anda)

A Silver Award is one part of Anda’s story. The other is the piano she shared with older people in Bang Khae just eight days earlier.

On 27 June, Anda performed solo piano at the Bang Khae Social Welfare Development Center for Older Persons. On 5 July, she received a Silver Award in Piano Solo at the Preliminary Round of the Korea Music and Talent Competition 2026 in Bangkok and qualified for the Final Round in South Korea.

At SBS Bangkok, we look beyond the result to see the whole child. For Anda, that means celebrating both the music she shared with older people and the skills she brought to the competition stage.

Congratulations, Anda.

On 12 August 2026, Arthit Ourairat Institution joins the people of Thailand in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, on the anniversary of Her Majesty’s birth and in observance of Thailand’s National Mother’s Day.

A school tour shows you SBS Bangkok. Saturday Playgroup lets you see how your child responds to it.

Choosing an Early Years school is easier when you do not have to imagine the fit. This session is exclusively for families who are new to SBS Bangkok. Children aged 3–5 can explore music, movement and sensory play with a parent or guardian beside them.

While your child explores, you can notice what holds their attention, meet our Early Years team and experience the close, personal setting of SBS Bangkok for yourself. It is also a first look at our Early Years programme, aligned with the Cambridge International Early Years Framework.

Student Spotlight | Printemps

Congratulations to Printemps on her achievements in junior golf.

At the Thailand Junior Pro Tour 5th Match at Lum Luk Ka Golf & Country Club, she was named Winner in Class E Girl.

She also finished as 3rd Runner-Up in Category E Girl at the SINGHA-FJGT BRING UP TOURNAMENT 2026 #5 at Watermill Golf Club & Resort, before being named Winning Girl in Class E for players aged 7–8 at the Supersports Junior Golf Shootout Series No.5 at The Vintage Club.

We’re happy to celebrate all three results and recognise what Printemps has achieved on the golf course.

A strong start to school begins before the first lesson.

Last week, SBS Bangkok held Uniform Sale Week to help our new families prepare for the term ahead.

Starting at a new school brings a lot of newness at once: a new campus, new routines and new people. Small preparations, such as having the uniform ready, can remove one uncertainty and help the first day feel more manageable for a child.

That preparation matters to parents too. When the practical details are clear and organised, families can spend less time worrying about what they need and more time helping their child feel ready for the transition.
