"What makes [studying music therapy] magical is that it not only improves you, but it changes you... your personality, the way you look at things..." - Austin Ang, current Year 2 student (4th Cohort).
MTAC organised the sixth run of Chula MTConnect, gathering six cohorts of music therapy students and graduates virtually! Starting with a round of self-introduction and creation of a collaborative self-care song playlist, the alumni shared about their experience studying and starting their career as music therapists in different parts of Asia. The evening held space for questions about scholarship and internships. The evening closed with a reflection of how music therapy has impacted us personally, and a short introduction to MTAC's initiatives. Big thank you to all students and alumni who turned up. Looking forward to growing together as Chula music therapists 🥰🎶✨

"My educational experience at Chula was tiring but happy, as the program was demanding yet very rewarding. The part I enjoyed most was improvisation, which helped me learn to listen, respond, and connect more deeply in spontaneous music making.”
Today, Pei Yao is a music therapist at Shanghai Children’s Hospital.
