TESTIMONIAL
Nameesha Chhabra
"As a student doing the IGCSE, I had seven subjects to worry about thus having a tutor or someone to help you out when you need it is the most convenient and helpful thing. I was an average student in Maths and never really enjoyed the subject but my grades did have a massive drop when I entered Year 11. Maths wasn't really my subject hence I wasn't good at it and did not enjoy practicing it but with a tutor who is willing to push you at every stage, making sure you understand the concept first, was the most helpful thing. The classes weren't strict and always revolving around Maths - I was free to ask my doubts regarding other subjects. Having a friendly tutor made me comfortable enough to ask any problems without any hesitation and I'm truly grateful for the help I received."

"I am from St. Andrews International Bangkok and I did extra tutoring for IGCSE Maths (Extended) as I was struggling in class and finding it hard to cope up with all the topics in class and got a very low grade for my mocks, which is why I decided to get extra help. The extra tutoring classes helped me understand many topics I didn't understand throughout my IGCSE course and helped me feel more confident and comfortable with the subject and helped me to be more prepared for my exam. Overall, I got a C for IGCSE Maths and I am pretty happy I got that grade as I could have done much worse, but thanks to the extra help I got I was able to pass the subject and get a pretty decent grade."

"As a formal introduction is needed; my name is Jessica. I am now a student of Grennaskolan International School in Sweden which offers the IB program. Though before entering the IB program, I did homeschooling and did IGCSE in order to prove that I've passed secondary school. Furthermore, I decided that maybe inquiring some help from outside would be better. I had few tutors and it was through them that I came across Ashwin [ACEIT tutor] who taught me Physics and Maths. However, we mainly focused on Maths.
In school, I was average in Maths due to the fact that I, myself, struggle with nervousness when it comes to a test. But during the preparation time for the exam, his method of teaching was very thorough which made it very easy to grasp the concept behind it because he doesn't require the students to memorize the formulas and equations but instead he'd try to explain things in detail with each step along the way. In addition, he is very patient with his students since there were numerous of times when I would struggle with a problem but he'd wait for the students to try themselves and if they believe they really can't solve it then he'd help. Also, during the in between breaks that he offers, he'd try his best to calm the students mind so they aren't immensely stressed or pressured that it's impossible to accomplish.
Another thing was that Ashwin had also helped me prepare for the Maths entrance exam for my current school. This was one of the challenges which Ashwin might've had because he hasn't taken the IB before. However, he would do his best to learn about some topics which the IB provided but it was only 1-2 which he didn't have knowledge of in the beginning. As a matter of fact, the extra tutoring we had for my preparation for the entrance exam enabled me to gain new knowledge which I never knew before. So now that I've studied few things with my extra tutoring before I moved here, it was easier for me to do work because I've learnt few things prior to my arrival here.
In the end, it was very satisfying to have Ashwin as my tutor because it was easier to learn and understand. Also, the talks we have during the break, would make it soothing and helped myself focused again because he would change the subject in order for you to forget about Maths for a bit and he is a great listener. Especially, when students are in trouble, he'd try to give advice or just listen to any complaints which they have."
