หลายคนคงรู้อยู่แล้วว่า......ออฟฟิศซินโดรมเป็นอาการที่เกิดจากการนั่งทำงานเป็นระยะเวลานานๆ โดยไม่มีการเปลี่ยนท่าทางหรือการนั่งมองจอคอมพิวเตอร์เป็นระยะเวลานาน
สิ่งๆต่างๆเหล่านี้ ล้วนเป็นปัจจัยของการเกิดออฟฟิศซินโดรมทั้งสิ้น
โดย Chiung-Yu Cho, Physical Therapist, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, Medical College, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan ได้ทำการวิจัยเกี่ยวกับบุคคลที่เป็นออฟฟิศซินโดรม
โดยได้ผลสรุปว่า อาการที่เกิดขึ้นกับระบบกระดูกและกล้ามเนื้อของคนเป็นออฟฟิศซินโดรมที่เข้าร่วมงานวิจัย ได้มีการจำแนกบริเวณที่เกิดอาการปวดเมื่อยหรือบาดเจ็บ 3 บริเวณหลักๆคือ 1.บริเวณหัวไหล่ 2.บริเวณคอ 3.บริเวณหลังส่วนบน
ในกลุ่มคนที่ใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ทั่วไป
> มีอาการบริเวณหัวไหล่ร้อยละ 73
> มีอาการบริเวณคอร้อยละ 71
> มีอาการบริเวณหลังส่วนบน ร้อยละ 60
ในกลุ่มคนที่ใช้คอมพิวเตอร์เป็นระยะเวลานาน มีภาระงานที่ต้องใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ค่อนข้างมากเกือบทั้งวัน
> มีปัญหาสุขภาพบริเวณหัวไหล่ร้อยละ 77.3
> มีปัญหาสุขภาพบริเวณคอร้อยละ 75.6
> และมีปัญหาสุขภาพบริเวณหลังส่วนบน ร้อยละ 63.9
โดยผู้ที่มีภาวะความเครียดสูง มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเกิดปัญหาสุขภาพบริเวณไหล่และหลังส่วนบนอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ในขณะที่ผู้ที่มีภาระงานของร่างกายสูง มีความสัมพันธ์กับการเกิดปัญหาสุขภาพบริเวณหลังส่วนล่าง โดยผู้หญิง มีแนวโน้มที่จะเกิดปัญหาสุขภาพบริเวณไหล่ได้มากกว่าผู้ชาย

Chiung-Yu Cho, Physical Therapist, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, Medical College, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan. Did a research about " Musculoskeletal Symptoms and Associated Risk Factors Among Office Workers With High Workload Computer Us"
Result show that A total of 254 subjects returned the questionnaire, of which 203 met the inclusion criteria. The 3 leading regions of musculoskeletal symptoms among the computer users were the shoulder (73%), neck (71%), and upper back (60%) areas.
Similarly, the 3 leading regions of musculoskeletal symptoms among the computer users with high workload were shoulder (77.3%), neck (75.6%), and upper back (63.9%) regions.
High psychologic distress was significantly associated with shoulder and upper back complaints (odds ratio [OR], 3.46; OR, 2.24), whereas a high workload was significantly associated with lower back complaints (OR, 1.89). Females were more likely to report shoulder complaints (OR, 2.25).
