Warm-ups are very important in a lesson especially for very young learners who can't sit still for a long time and for who it is even dangerous to sit long. Little children need to move often. When they MOVE they LEARN too. Thus, warm-ups are essential and I do them 3 times in my class: beginning, middle and in the end. I found my students really like music dances - this is their favorite part. Also if you have a chance to have outdoor warm-ups go for it! Fresh air is necessary for any brain:)

I am a lucky teacher. All My students like reading books. But they often forget them afterwards. Or if I ask them to retell in their own words what they have learned from a story or what was it about, they cant't really do it for a couple of reasons. So I invented a story-theatre! Each time my learners have finished a book and I have made sure they know the plot well, we do a role-playing where children are actors and they SPEAK their roles. See how it goes. Want more FUN?
