SoA+D Community Gathers for 2026 Retreat “Reconnect, Reimagine, and Move Forward Together”

We hosted the annual seminar and retreat on June 12, 2026, bringing together faculty, academic staff, and support teams for a day of collaboration under the theme: "Reconnect, Reimagine, and Move Forward Together."

Highlights from the seminar included the welcoming and opening remarks from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kraiwood Kiattikomol (former KMUTT President) and Dr. Weeraphan Shinawatra (former SoA+D Dean). Following this, Asst. Prof. Waraluk Pansuwan delivered the highly anticipated Dean’s Address, sharing vital updates and outlining the future trajectory, evolving goals, and long-term vision for SoA+D.

Also we celebrated the academic excellence contributed by our dedicated faculty members on their promotion to Associate Professor, Assoc. Prof. Martin Schoch and Assoc. Prof. Sunaree Lawanyawatna.

Our lecturers were recognized on UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) Fellowship, Assoc. Prof Martin Schoch, Assoc. Prof. Sunaree Lawanyawatna, Dr. Teera Dhanamun, and Ms. Sukhumarn Thamwiset as well as UKPSF Senior Fellowship awarded Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangkamol Limwongse and Asst. Prof. Chanida Lumthaweepaisal.

The faculty and staff engaged in lively group discussions focused on critical contemporary education topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), internationalization, modern learning environments, and lifelong learning.

The retreat concluded with a series of group presentations and a practical action-planning session aimed at turning the day's most determined ideas into realistic, structural steps for the upcoming academic semesters. Emcees Ajarn Betty and Khun Nui closed the event by thanking the attendees for strengthening the SoA+D community through open dialogue and collaborative spirit.

Congratulations to all Communication Design graduating students on the successful CMD Final Year Thesis Exhibition 2026, READY TO SERVE, held from 22–24 May 2026!

“READY TO SERVE” used food and serving as a metaphor for presenting the students’ thesis projects through different creative mediums. Just like preparing a dish before it is served, each project reflected the process behind the final outcome — from research and experimentation to development and presentation.
To complete the experience, a special exhibition directory was prepared for visitors -- guiding everyone through the space to discover where each artist with their work has been “served.”

Congratulations once again for this achievement, and thank you to everyone who came to support the exhibition!

Held from 22–24 May 2026, the three-day thesis exhibition of the 5th year Interior Architecture students, 𝓕𝓘𝓝𝓐𝓛𝐄 Interior Architecture Thesis Show 2026, has successfully concluded. The exhibition highlighted the culmination of the INA students’ five-year journey, showcasing their thesis projects through innovative concepts and design explorations developed throughout their studies.

Packed with creative ideas, the event also featured a talk on “From Storytelling to Real Space: How Design Becomes Reality” by Ms. Khullaratn Sangsood, designer from PIA Interior. Visitors also participated in a special workshop by Jotun, adding an interactive and engaging experience to the exhibition.

Cheers to all graduating students on their successful thesis exhibition! Thanks to everyone who has been part of your design journey! SoA+D is proud of you!
