Democracy in action 💻🗳️
As part of their “Governments Rule!” Unit of Inquiry, Year 5 students explored how democratic systems work by appointing class representatives to collaborate, debate, and create a shared ‘Y5 Digital Rights & Responsibilities Charter’.
The student-led charter will guide their use of technology during the upcoming 5-week iPad home trial, supporting students in becoming principled, balanced, and empowered digital citizens both at school and at home.
To build strong foundations, students also participated in interactive tech rotations focused on Digital Citizenship, Digital Wellbeing, and creative digital production through tools such as Canva and Stop Motion.

Through hands-on learning experiences, students are developing new skills in cutting, building, attaching, and model-making while expressing ideas through creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
It is wonderful to see our youngest learners confidently exploring the many ways we can communicate and create.
