ร่วมกับ แผนการเรียน SG dAA (Track 7 & 8 ) โรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียล ในการจัดโครงการ “การสอบเตรียมความพร้อมทางสถาปัตยกรรม (Mock-up Test) รุ่นที่ 1” เมื่อวันที่ 7 เมษายน 2569 ที่ผ่านมา

กิจกรรมครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากคณาจารย์ทั้ง 3 ท่าน ในการแนะแนวและให้คำแนะนำแก่เลือกเรียนรายบุคคล (Individual Feedback) เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสู่ระดับอุดมศึกษา:

"ก้าวย่างแรก คือก้าวที่สำคัญของการอนุรักษ์... ลำดับการดำเนินงานและแผนผังการอนุรักษ์หลังคาอาคารมาร์ติน เดอ ตูร์ส (ระยะที่ 1/2569)"

ภายหลังการอนุมัติโครงการเปลี่ยนหลังคาอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 6 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2569 อาคารมาร์ติน เดอ ตูร์ส (ตึกแดง) กำลังเข้าสู่กระบวนการฟื้นคืนบูรณภาพครั้งสำคัญ โดยความร่วมมือระหว่าง บริษัท เบส สเปซ คอนสตรัคชั่น จำกัด Basespace และ งานอาคารสถานที่ สำนักบริหารทั่วไป โรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียล

ในการอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรมระดับสัญลักษณ์ (Iconic Architecture) เช่นนี้ ทุกขั้นตอนไม่ได้เป็นเพียงการซ่อมแซม แต่คือการบริหารจัดการพื้นที่เพื่อรักษา "ความแท้จริง" (Authenticity) ในทุกตารางนิ้ว

การจัดการพื้นที่เชิงสถาปัตยกรรม (Spatial Sequencing)

เพื่อให้การเรียนการสอนยังคงดำเนินไปได้อย่างปกติและปลอดภัย คณะทำงานได้จัดส่วนพื้นที่ปฏิบัติงาน (Zoning) อย่างเป็นระบบ

จุดพักวัสดุ บริเวณใต้อัฒจันทร์ฝั่งทิศเหนือ ถูกจัดเตรียมเป็นคลังกระเบื้องใหม่เพื่อความสะดวกในการขนส่ง

การแบ่งส่วนการทำงาน (5 Sectional Zoning) แบ่งพื้นที่หลังคาออกเป็น 5 เขต ได้แก่ (1) ทิศตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือ (2) ทิศตะวันตก (3) ทิศตะวันออกเฉียงตกเฉียงใต้ (4) ทิศตะวันตกเฉียงใออกเฉียงใต้ และ (5) ทิศตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ

กลยุทธ์การทำงาน ดำเนินการทวนเข็มนาฬิกา เริ่มต้นจากทิศตะวันตกเฉียงเหนือ พร้อมการติดตั้งนั่งร้านที่ออกแบบมาเป็นพิเศษเพื่อรองรับงานอนุรักษ์ในที่สูงพร้อมรบกวนนักเรียนและบุคลาการให้น้อยที่สุด

มากกว่าความปลอดภัย คือการเผยแพร่ความรู้ (Safety & Public Awareness)

โครงการเปลี่ยน "รั้วก่อสร้าง" ให้เป็น "ห้องเรียนประวัติศาสตร์" โดยรอบพื้นที่ก่อสร้างมีการขึงแผ่นวัสดุกั้น (Construction Hoarding) ที่บรรจุข้อมูลเชิงลึกด้านการอนุรักษ์

เนื้อหาเชิงวิชาการโดย อ.ณัฐปภัสร์ นิยะเวมานนท์ (อาจารย์พิเศษแผนการเรียนสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ (track 7 ) โรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียล, สถาปัตกรรมศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต (สถ.ม.) การอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรม และชุมชน)

การจัดองค์ประกอบศิลป์โดย มาสเตอร์ สันติ หาญจิตตระการ (ประธานแผนการเรียนศิลปะ และการออกแบบ (track 8 ) โรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียล)

เพื่อให้ครู นักเรียน ผู้ปกครอง และบุคคลทั่วไปได้เรียนรู้วิวัฒนาการของตึกแดงไปพร้อม ๆ กัน

หัวใจสำคัญของโครงการนี้คือความละเอียดลออในการรื้อถอนกระเบื้อง CPAC Monier (รุ่นปี 1977) โดยเน้นการรักษาภาพรวมของวัสดุเดิมให้สมบูรณ์ที่สุด

การจัดทำทะเบียน (Inventory) กระเบื้องที่ถูกถอดออกจะถูกลำเลียงมายังบริเวณข้างตึกแม่พระ

การคัดแยกวัสดุ มีการคัดเลือกกระเบื้องที่สมบูรณ์เพื่อบันทึกเป็นฐานข้อมูลประวัติศาสตร์วัสดุศาสตร์ และแยกส่วนที่แตกหักตามหลักเกณฑ์ทางการอนุรักษ์สถาปัตยกรรม

โครงงานนำร่อง (Technical Pilot Phase) ที่หน้าต่างหลังคา (Dormer)
ก่อนจะขยายผลไปสู่พื้นที่ทั้งหมด คณะทำงานได้เริ่มต้นทดลองมุงกระเบื้องว่าวคอนกรีตอัดแรงที่บริเวณ มุขหน้าต่างหลังคา (Dormer) ทั้งนี้เพื่อทดสอบระยะซ้อนทับ (Overlapping) และมิติเชิงพื้นที่ที่ซับซ้อน

"ประเมินความสง่างามของกระเบื้องให้ตรงตามภาพลักษณ์ดั้งเดิมปี 1922"

ตรวจสอบประสิทธิภาพการกันรั่วซึมในจุดที่เปราะบางที่สุดของหลังคา

"การเดินทางครั้งนี้ไม่ใช่แค่การเปลี่ยนหลังคา แต่คือการธำรงไว้ซึ่งจิตวิญญาณของโรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียล ให้ "ตึกแดง" กลับมาสง่างามและเป็นศูนย์รวมศรัทธาของชาวเซนต์คาเบรียลต่อไป"

"The First Step: A Milestone in Conservation... Work Procedures and Spatial Strategy for the Roof Restoration of the Martin de Tours Building (Phase 1/2026)"

Following the official project approval on February 6, 2026, the Martin de Tours Building (affectionately known as the "Red Building/Tuek Daeng") has officially entered a significant phase of structural and aesthetic restoration. This project is a collaborative effort between Best Space Construction Co., Ltd. and the Buildings and Facilities Unit , General Administration Division, Saint Gabriel’s College.

In conserving such Iconic Architecture, every step is more than mere repair; it is a meticulous management of space designed to preserve "Authenticity" in every square inch.

Spatial Sequencing and Logistics
To ensure that teaching and learning continue safely and without interruption, the team has implemented a systematic Sectional Zoning plan:

Material Hub: The area beneath the North Grandstand has been designated as the central warehouse for the new tiles, ensuring efficient logistics.

The 5-Section Plan: The roof has been divided into five zones: (1) Northwest, (2) Northeast, (3) Southeast, (4) Southwest, and (5) West.

Operational Strategy: The restoration will proceed in an anti clockwise direction, starting from the Northwest. Specialized scaffolding has been designed to support high-altitude conservation work while ensuring minimal noise and physical disruption to students and staff.

Beyond Safety: A Living History Classroom (Safety & Public Awareness)
The project aims to transform "Construction Hoarding" into a "History Classroom." The protective barriers surrounding the site are adorned with deep insights into the conservation process:

Academic Content: Curated by Nathpaphas Niyavemanont (Specialist Teacher for Architecture Track 7 at Saint Gabriel’s College; M.Arch. in Architectural and Urban Conservation).

Artistic Direction: Curated by Master Santi Hanjittrakarn (Head of Art and Design Track 8 at Saint Gabriel’s College).

This initiative allows teachers, students, parents, and the general public to witness and learn about the evolution of the Red Building in real-time.

Conservation Philosophy: Meticulous Deconstruction
The heart of this project lies in the careful removal of the existing CPAC Monier tiles (1977 era), aiming to keep the original materials as intact as possible.

Inventory & Cataloging: Every tile removed is transported to the Mother Mary Building for systematic registration.

Material Classification: Intact tiles are selected for a "Material History Database," while broken pieces are separated according to archaeological preservation standards for future study.

Technical Pilot Phase: The Dormers
Before expanding to the entire roof, the team has initiated a Technical Pilot Phase at the Dormer windows. This serves as a critical test for overlapping measurements and complex spatial dimensions. The goals are:

"To evaluate the aesthetic elegance of the tiles, ensuring they align with the original 1922 architectural profile."

To verify the efficiency of the waterproofing system in the roof’s most vulnerable junctions.

"This journey is more than just a roof replacement; it is the preservation of the heart and soul of Saint Gabriel’s College. It is about ensuring that the 'Red Building' returns to its full splendor as a lasting symbol of faith and pride for all Gabrielites."

“106 ปี คืนจิตวิญญาณ “ตึกแดง” แห่งเซนต์คาเบรียล: การเดินทางของหลังคาอาคารมาร์ติน เดอ ตูร์ส จากอดีตสู่อนาคตการอนุรักษ์ในปี 2026”

รู้ไหมว่า... ทำไมเราถึงเรียกอาคารหลังแรกว่า “ตึกแดง”?

หลายคนอาจสงสัยว่า ในเมื่อมองไปตอนนี้เห็นตัวตึกเป็นสีส้มแดง หรือย้อนไปไม่กี่ปีก่อนก็เคยเห็นเป็นตึกสีครีมหลังคาสีเหลือง... แล้วชื่อ "ตึกแดง" ที่เราเรียกติดปากกันมานาน มาจากไหนกันแน่?

คำตอบซ่อนอยู่ใต้โครงหลังคาไม้แดงอายุกว่า 106 ปีนี้
ย้อนรอยประวัติศาสตร์สถาปัตยกรรม อาคารมาร์ติน เดอ ตูร์ส (Martin de Tours) หรือ "ตึกแดง" ถูกสร้างขึ้นสไตล์นีโอ-คลาสสิก จากวิสัยทัศน์การออกแบบของเจษฎาจารย์มาร์ติน เดอ ตูร์ส ในฐานะผู้ออกแบบ ร่วมกับนายชาลส์ เบเกอแลง (Charles Béguelin) นายช่างชาวสวิส-ฝรั่งเศส ในปี 1920-1922

หลักฐานชิ้นสำคัญที่ทีมอนุรักษ์ค้นพบในครั้งนี้คือ "เศษกระเบื้องว่าวคอนกรีตสีแดงขนาดใหญ่" ที่ตกหล่นอยู่ใต้หลังคา ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับภาพถ่ายเก่าก่อนปี 1970 ยืนยันว่าอาคารหลังนี้เคยสง่างามด้วยหลังคาสีแดงก่ำทั้งหลัง นี่คือที่มาของชื่อ "ตึกแดง" ที่แท้จริง

กาลเวลา และการเปลี่ยนแปลง

ปี 1977: หลังคากระเบื้องว่าวและแปไม้เดิมเมื่อปี 1920 เริ่มทรุดโทรม จึงมีการจัดระยะแปใหม่ (เปลี่ยนไม้แป) เพื่อเปลี่ยนกระเบื้องว่าวเดิม เป็นกระเบื้องลอน สีเหลืองราชพฤกษ์ เพื่อแก้ปัญหารั่วซึม และความคงทนของวัสดุ ซึ่งเป็นนวัตกรรมที่ทันสมัยที่สุดในยุคนั้น ส่งผลให้ภาพจำของอาคารเปลี่ยนจากตึกหลังคาสีแดงกลายเป็นสีเหลืองนับแต่นั้น

ปี 2015: มีการบูรณะอีกครั้ง แต่ในเน้นการแก้ไขจุดที่เสียหาย และทาสีส้มแดงทับกระเบื้องเท่านั้น

ปี 2026: ภารกิจเร่งด่วนเพื่อรักษาโครงสร้างประวัติศาสตร์
ปัจจุบัน หลังคาชุดนี้ที่ผ่านการใช้งานมานานกว่า 49 ปี ตกอยู่ในสภาพเสื่อมสภาพอย่างชัดเจน กระเบื้องเลื่อนหลุด และแปไม้เต็งเดิมเริ่มคดงอบิดตัว จนส่งผลให้เกิดการรั่วซึมที่อาจทำลายโครงสร้างเดิมอายุ 106 ปีได้ในระยะยาว

ในโครงการยังมีนักเรียนเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในหลายระดับตั้งแต่ปีการศึกษาที่ผ่านมาจนถึงปัจจุบัน

ทำไมต้องเปลี่ยนกลับเป็น "กระเบื้องว่าวสีแดง"?

1. คืนอัตลักษณ์ที่แท้จริง: กลับไปใช้หลังคากระเบื้องทรงว่าวสีแดงตามหลักฐานประจักษ์ โดยมีขนาด และสีใกล้เคียงของเดิม เพื่อให้ "ตึกแดง" กลับมาสง่างามตามชื่อเรียกอย่างภาคภูมิใจ

2. มาตรฐานอนุรักษ์สากล: ยึดหลักการอย่าง "กฎบัตรเวนิส" (Venice Charter) เป็นต้น ที่เน้นการรักษาความแท้จริง แต่สามารถใช้นวัตกรรมสมัยใหม่เข้าช่วยเพื่อให้การอนุรักษ์ยั่งยืน

3. ลดภาระและเสริมความยั่งยืนให้โครงสร้าง: การเปลี่ยนกลับไปใช้กระเบื้องทรงว่าวช่วยลดน้ำหนักส่วนเกินที่เพิ่มขึ้นจากการใช้กระเบื้องลอนในปี 1977 และเลือกใช้แปวัสดุทดแทนที่แข็งแรงกว่าเดิม เพื่อป้องกันการรั่วซึมและรักษาโครงสร้างไม้เนื้อแข็งดั้งเดิมอายุ 106 ปี ให้คงอยู่ต่อไป

106 Years: Restoring the Soul of “Tuek Daeng” – The Journey of Martin de Tours’ Roof from the Past to the Future of Conservation in 2026
Do you know why we call our first building “Tuek Daeng”?

Many might wonder, as the building currently appears in a reddish-orange hue, or as some may remember it from a few years ago with a cream body and a yellow roof... Where did the name "Tuek Daeng" truly come from?

The answer lies beneath the 106-year-old Siamese Red Wood (Mai Daeng) roof structure.
Stepping back into architectural history, the Martin de Tours Building—affectionately known as "Tuek Daeng"—was constructed between 1920 and 1922. It was born from the architectural vision of Bro. Martin de Tours, in collaboration with Swiss-French engineer Charles Béguelin, designed in the elegant Neo-Classical style.

The key evidence recently discovered by the conservation team is the "Original Large Red Concrete Diamond Tiles" found scattered beneath the roof. This discovery aligns with historical photographs prior to 1970, confirming that the building once stood majestically with a deep red roof. This is the true origin of its name.
A Century of Change

• 1977: As the original 1920s diamond tiles and wooden batten deteriorated, the roof was replaced with yellow "Ratchaphruek" corrugated tiles to solve leakage issues—a modern innovation at the time. This shifted the building’s visual identity from red to yellow for decades.

• 2015: A subsequent renovation focused on repairing damaged areas and painting over the existing tiles with a reddish-orange shade.

• 2026: An Urgent Mission to Preserve Historical Integrity
Today, after 49 years of service, the current roof system has significantly deteriorated. Displaced tiles and warped wooden battens have led to leakages that threaten to damage the 106-year-old internal structure.
Under the leadership of Brother Surakit Srisrankulwong, Ph.D, alongside the Brothers, teachers, parents, and the Alumni Association—honored by the guidance of conservation experts and architects—Phase 1/2026 of the Conservation Project officially commences this February to "Restore Historical Authenticity." Notably, students have also actively participated in this project across various levels since the previous academic year.

Why Return to "Red Diamond Tiles"?

1. Restoring True Identity: Returning to the diamond-shaped tiles in a color and size faithful to historical evidence, allowing "Tuek Daeng" to reclaim its pride and name.

2. International Conservation Standards: Adhering to principles such as the Venice Charter, which emphasizes preserving authenticity while integrating modern innovations for long-term sustainability.

3. Reducing Load & Strengthening the Structure: Reverting to diamond tiles significantly reduces the excessive weight load added during the 1977 renovation. By using high-strength replacement battens, we prevent leakages and safeguard the original 106-year-old hardwood structure from the Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation.

"This roof restoration is more than just a repair... it is the reclamation of our history, honoring the legacy of Saint Gabriel’s College so that it may continue to flourish for generations to come."

Thai Art to global

On October 30, 2025, Track 7 – Department of Art and Architecture, Saint Gabriel’s College represented the school in organizing a “Thai Art Workshop” for students from Clementi Town Secondary School (CTS), Singapore.

The workshop introduced participants to fundamental Thai patterns, focusing on the “Lai Prajumyarm” (traditional Thai motif) through the paper-cutting stencil technique.

Students from the architecture track served as instructors for the visiting international students.

เมื่อวันที่ 30 ตุลาคม 2568 แทรค 7 สถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ โรงเรียนเซนต์คาเบรียลเป็นตัวแทนจัดกิจกรรม “Thai Art Workshop” แก่นักเรียน Clementi Town Secondary School (CTS) ประเทศสิงคโปร์ กิจกรรมพื้นฐานลายไทย ลายประจำยาม ผ่านเทคนิคกระดาษฉลุ โดยมีนักเรียนในแผนการเรียนเป็นผู้ฝึกสอนแก่นักเรียนต่างชาติ ได้แก่

We, the Track 7 Architecture and Track 8 Art & Design teams, would like to sincerely thank all the mentors, faculty members, and supporters who have stood by us and encouraged us throughout this journey, making the 10th Art Exhibition Utopia beautifully possible.

This year marks the first time our works have been showcased in a shopping mall setting at EmSphere a truly special and memorable experience. Not only has it allowed our creations to be seen by a wider audience, but it has also shown us the power of art to connect people within society.

Behind this exhibition lies our dedication, learning, collaboration, and the utmost effort from everyone to bring the concept of Utopia an ideal world to life through both design and art that we are proud to present.

For us, this is more than just an exhibition. It is about pushing beyond our own limits and finding inspiration that will empower our next steps. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

พวกเรา ทีม Track 7 Architecture และ Track 8 Art & Design อยากขอบคุณจากใจจริงต่อผู้ใหญ่ คณาจารย์ และผู้สนับสนุนทุกท่าน ที่อยู่เคียงข้างและให้กำลังใจพวกเรามาตลอดเส้นทาง จนทำให้งาน Art Exhibition Utopia ครั้งที่ 10 เกิดขึ้นได้อย่างงดงาม

ปีนี้เป็นครั้งแรกที่ผลงานของพวกเราได้มีโอกาสจัดแสดงในพื้นที่ห้างสรรพสินค้า ณ EmSphere ซึ่งเป็นประสบการณ์ที่พิเศษและน่าจดจำอย่างยิ่ง เพราะไม่เพียงแต่ทำให้ผลงานของนักเรียนได้ออกมาอยู่ในสายตาของผู้คนมากมาย แต่ยังทำให้เราได้สัมผัสถึงพลังของศิลปะที่สามารถเชื่อมโยงผู้คนในสังคมเข้าด้วยกัน

เบื้องหลังการจัดงานครั้งนี้เต็มไปด้วยความตั้งใจ การเรียนรู้ การทำงานร่วมกัน และความพยายามอย่างที่สุดของทุกคน เพื่อถ่ายทอดแนวคิด “Utopia” หรือโลกในอุดมคติออกมาให้เป็นจริง ผ่านทั้งงานออกแบบและงานศิลป์ที่พวกเราภูมิใจนำเสนอ

สำหรับพวกเรา นี่ไม่ใช่แค่การแสดงผลงาน แต่คือการก้าวข้ามขีดจำกัดของตัวเอง และเป็นแรงบันดาลใจที่จะทำให้ก้าวต่อไปของเรามีพลังมากยิ่งขึ้น ขอบคุณทุกท่านที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการเดินทางครั้งนี้ครับ❤️❤️❤️❤️
