The BIST community came together to celebrate the graduating Class of 2026, a truly remarkable group of young people whose achievements, growth and successes have made us immensely proud.
While recognising all that they have accomplished was easy, saying goodbye was far more difficult. Yet one thing we know for certain is that being part of BIST does not end at graduation. Our alumni remain an important part of our community, and the connections, friendships and memories built here last a lifetime.
On behalf of everyone at BIST, congratulations to the Class of 2026. As you begin the next chapter of your journey, we wish you every success and happiness. We look forward to following your achievements and celebrating all that lies ahead.

🌋 This week, Reception Dolphins explored volcanoes after their interest was sparked by one they saw in a story. They looked at pictures of volcanoes, shared their ideas and new vocabulary, and worked together to build and paper mâché their own volcano. To complete their learning, they enjoyed watching a volcanic eruption, bringing a fantastic exploration of this exciting topic to life!

Role play is a valuable part of learning in the Early Years. Through imaginative play, children develop their communication and language skills, build confidence, learn to cooperate with others, and make sense of the world around them.

Our Nursery children have been taking great care of our Garden 🌱
This week, they enjoyed reading The Scarecrows' Wedding by Julia Donaldson and were inspired to create a scarecrow of their own. Today, they proudly placed it in the garden, where it can keep a watchful eye on all the plants growing across the EY Garden.

Forever Treasure Island 2026 ⚓🏴☠️
After letting the dust settle, I don't think we could be prouder of our children and staff.
What started as scripts, songs and rehearsals became something far bigger than a production. Over the past few weeks, the children have shown resilience, teamwork, discipline and a huge amount of pride in themselves and one another.
There were plenty of nerves, plenty of laughter and, at times, plenty of chaos, but watching the children perform with such confidence and joy reminded us what schools are really about.
Thank you to our staff for giving so much of themselves, and thank you to our families for your support throughout.
Most of all, well done to our children. You were brilliant.
