The Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE) proudly congratulates Dr. Warinthorn Songkasiri on receiving the KMUTT Honorary Awards 2026 (Very Good Level) for her research project entitled "An Integrated Circular Economy Platform for the Cassava Starch Industry through Production Engineering and High-Performance Hydrocyclone Technology".

The project was previously honored with the NRCT Award at the NRCT Forum 2025, held in celebration of the 66th Anniversary of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) on 26 November 2025, recognizing its innovative contribution to sustainable industrial development and circular economy practices.

Dr. Pariyapat Participates in the 2nd Workshop for the Asian Life Cycle Inventory Database Project

On 2-3 July 2026, Dr. Pariyapat Nilsalap, a researcher at the Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment Laboratory (LCSAL), the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE), participated in the 2nd Workshop for the Asian Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) Database Project. The workshop was hosted by the Research Laboratory for IDEA (IDEA Lab.) and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan, in cooperation with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The event was held at Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The two-day workshop brought together representatives from across Asia, including Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Cambodia, to present the current status and progress of their respective Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) projects, exchange experiences, and discuss future activities to further advance the regional initiative. Countries with well-established LCI databases, such as Japan and the Republic of Korea, also shared their database systems, development guidelines, and insights into international trends shaping the field.

In addition to the country presentations, the workshop featured group discussions and information-sharing sessions that provided a valuable platform for participants to exchange knowledge, address common challenges, and strengthen regional cooperation in advancing life cycle inventory data and practices across Asia.

Congratulations to Mr. Wasiu Kunle Jimoh on graduating with a Master of Science (MSc) in Energy Technology and Management from JGSEE-KMUTT! 🎓✨

His thesis, titled “Energy Security Index Towards Net-Zero Emissions in Nigeria,” successfully evaluated Nigeria's energy security by 2060 under its Energy Transition Plan. By constructing a composite Energy Security Index across three critical dimensions, his study provides an invaluable data-driven framework for energy analysts, policymakers, and governments to steer toward a secure, sustainable, and efficient energy future.

Kudos to Jimoh, his advisor Dr. Athikom Bangviwat, co-advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pipat Chaiwiwatworrakul, and the entire thesis committee on this exceptional academic milestone and for presenting this research at the 11th International Conference on Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering (ICSREE 2026) in San Sebastian, Spain! 🚀👏

🤝การเข้าร่วมประชุมเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่าย แลกเปลี่ยนแนวคิด และรับแรงบันดาลใจจากบุคคลสำคัญในวงการวิทยาศาสตร์ระดับโลก และได้พบปะผู้ได้รับรางวัลโนเบลและผู้ได้รับรางวัลวิทยาศาสตร์ระดับโลก ตลอดจนแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้กับนักวิทยาศาสตร์รุ่นเยาว์จากกว่า 100 ประเทศ รวมกว่า 600 คน ซึ่งนับเป็นประสบการณ์สำคัญและหาได้ยากยิ่งในชีวิตการทำงานด้านวิจัย
