Thai Saxophonist based in Bangkok Thailand. Supat Hanpatanachai was born in Bangkok, Thailand on September 2, 1987.

Throughout his studies in the Pre-College program, Supat studied saxophone with Nuttawut Suksangjan, Siriwat Chatmathee and Krit Buranavitayawut. He also holds the Bachelor’s Degree in Saxophone Performance from the College of Music, Mahidol University, where he studied with Shyen Lee. During his years at Mahidol University he met and studied with many great saxophone masters, including Jean-Marie Londeix, Eugene Rousseau, Jean-Yves Fourmeau, Chien-Kwan Lin, Jean- Pierre Baraglioli, William Street, Keiji Munesada and Richard Dirlam. During this time Supat won acclaim from both the masters as well as from audience members. In 2010 he was the First Prize Winner of the “1st Mahidol Concerto and Aria Competition” and subsequently performed with the Mahidol Symphony Orchestra. As a member of Siam Saxophone Quartet, he was the First Prize Winner of the “Thailand International Wind Ensemble Competition” in 2007, as well as the “Osaka International Music Competition” in 2007-2008. Additionally, he was invited to perform a concerto-grosso “Saxtory” by Jérôme Naulais with the Mahidol Wind Symphony after their successful performances in the previously competition. Upon completion of the Bachelor of Music program at Mahidol University, Supat obtained the Diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées (D.É.S.S) in 2011 from the Université de Montréal, where he studied with Jean-François Guay. There he received opportunities to attend workshops and master classes with world renowned saxophonists such as Marie-Bernadette Charier, Jean-Yves Fourmeau and the Quasar Saxophone Quartet. As a soloist, Supat was invited to perform with the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Damrih Banawitayakit in December of 2012. He was also invited to perform a Concerto for Alto Saxophone and String Orchestra by Pierre-Max Dubois with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Claude Villaret in May of 2013. Currently, he is pursuing the Doctoral of Music degree in performance and pedagogy at the College of Music, Mahidol University. He is also performing with the Siam Saxophone Quartet, Outbound Saxophone Quartet, Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra, Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Thailand Wind Philharmonia, the Feroci Philharmonic Winds and Million Wind Philharmonic. He is teaching saxophone at Pricncess Galayani Vadhana Institute of Music, Faculty of Humanities Kasetsart University and Rugby School Thailand. He is one of the founders of the annual “Mahidol Saxophone Camp” which is hosted by the College of Music, Mahidol University. Supat is a D’addario Woodwinds Artist and Yamaha Saxophone Artist.
