นิสิตโปรดทราบ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยประกาศเลื่อนวันเปิดภาคเรียน(ภาคปลาย) ปีการศึกษา ๒๕๕๔ เป็น วันจันทร์ ที่ ๗ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๕๔ และเลื่อนกำหนดโครงการจุฬาฯวิชาการ
- ขออาราธนาคุณพระศรีรัตนตรัยและสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ทั้งหลาย จงคุ้มครองให้ทุกคนผ่านพ้นวิกฤตการณ์มหาอุทกภัยครั้งนี้ไปด้วยดี

VISFAA ต้องการอาสาสมัครเพื่อประสานงานต่างๆในกิจกรรมของภาควิชา ทั้งนิสิตปัจจุบัน และนิสิตเก่า ลงชื่อไว้ที่wallได้เลยครับ

ด่วนที่สุดประชาสัมพันธ์ โครงการรับสมัครนักเรียนเข้าศึกษาต่อคณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ ระดับปริญญาตรี ด้วยวิธีการรับตรง(แบบพิเศษ) ปีการศึกษา 2555 รายละเอียดและเงื่อนไขตามประกาศจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ดูที่ www.act.chula.ac.th และ www.admission.chula.ac.th ภาควิชาทัศนศิลป์ จะรับนิสิตปีการศึกษา 2555 จำนวน 40 คนในปีนี้ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยกำหนดให้มีการจัดทดสอบวิชาสามัญ และวิชาเฉพาะทุกวิชา

Cindy Sherman is definitely one of all time favorite photographers! So much goes into her work with all of her various methods of creating photos. She was very influenced by fairy tales, and various writers of which she creates characters that tell a story.

Doris Salcedo makes sculptures and installations that function as political and mental archaeology, using domestic materials charged with significance and suffused with meanings accumulated over years of use in everyday life. Salcedo often takes specific historical events as her point of departure, conveying burdens and conflicts with precise and economical means.

Heilmann is one of the preeminent artists of her generation—a pioneering painter whose work injects abstraction with elements from popular culture and craft traditions. A “painter’s painter,” her straightforward, seemingly loose and casual approach belies a witty dialogue with art historical preconceptions. As Dave Hickey writes in the catalogue accompanying the exhibition: “The canons of geometric abstraction, Color Field painting, and Minimalism are honored in the spirit but not in the letter. In Heilmann’s synthesis, they are straightforwardly looted as available precedents.”

Sally Mann >captures the true essence of childhood in her photographs of her children. The mischievous and sly gazes suggest a sense of seductiveness as well as a portrayal of innocence. Her black and white prints have been known to be controversial to some and to others her work is praised throughout the art community and in the general public. Her images are haunting, intimate, and disturbing but at the same time leave the viewer with a sense of comfort.

So it goes with Ms. Smith. Her art doesn’t admit to ambiguities or subtlety. Even at her most abstruse, the message is clear as a bell: Being alive sucks. Her strident ickiness quashes any interesting, furtive tangents. Ms. Smith winnows her art down to the barest whiff of a morbid idea.
