GSVC in Southeast Asia

Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship (IDE Center) by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, is committed to promoting the creation and growth of new ventures with both social and financial goals integral to their purpose or “Social Enterprises”. IDE encourages the Social Entrepreneurship activities and business innovations which can solve social and environmental problems and generate sustainable financial profit. IDE strongly believes social entrepreneurship will be one of the future driving forces of Thailand’s success in terms of society, environment and economics. To promote the Social Entrepreneurship activities, IDE partnered with University of California at Berkeley since 2007 to host the GSVC Competition and Symposium in Southeast Asia. The event has welcomed entrants from Southeast Asia and Oceania countries; Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
