EY1B Phonics Lesson Summary
Today we reviewed the alphabet by placing letter cards in order and the matching picture card (e.g. A is for apple) to reinforce letter recognition and sounds.

We then completed a listening activity where the students followed instructions such as “find the letter T,” helping to develop their listening skills and confidence.

To finish, the children practised writing their names by tracing first and then attempting to write them independently.

From learning about dumpling wrappers and fillings,
to picking up simple Chinese words,
and then kneading, folding, and shaping with their hands,
children experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture through hands-on activities.

This is not just a dumpling-making activity,
but a lively and heartwarming cultural experience class.
Children learn through laughter,
grow through hands-on exploration,
and joyfully discover the Chinese New Year—
falling in love with the Chinese language and traditional culture along the way.

从认识饺子皮和馅料，
到学习简单的中文词语，
再到动手揉一揉、捏一捏，
孩子们在体验中感受中国传统文化的魅力。
这不仅是一次包饺子的活动，
更是一堂生动、有温度的中华文化体验课。
在欢笑中学习，
在动手中成长，
让孩子们在快乐中认识中国春节，
爱上中文，爱上春节。
