Seems like yesterday our SuperCamp staff (80s to present!) came together to celebrate SuperCamp 30! And here we are now in our 38th year looking forward to another great summer! - Bobbi DePorter

Visakha Bucha Day is one of the important days in Buddhism because of 3 important incidents in the life of the Lord Buddha, i.e. the birth, the enlightenment and the passing away.

Each year Visakha Bucha Day is based on the lunar calendar and this year it falls on 18th May.

In commemorating of Lord Buddha’s kindness and compassion to the world, Buddhists all over the world celebrate this great day and some aspects of the activities will be observed, namely:
*Offering foods to the monks and novices.
*Observing the Five Precepts or the Eight Precepts.
*Practicing Meditation.
*Listening to Dhamma preaching.
*Attending the Candle Light Procession around the Buddha’s Shrines.
