April 3, 2025: Smart MOBI has demonstrated the use cases of CV2X in 5.9 GHz frequency communication between Vehicle and Infrastructure at Wangchan Vallley under the research project granted from Expressway Authority of Thailand.

🌍 Empowering Future Innovators at Smart MOBI! 🌟

At the Smart Mobility Research Center (Smart MOBI), Chulalongkorn University, we are proud of our dedicated students, both current and alumni, who contribute their expertise to the development of autonomous vehicle technology. Their teamwork and dedication make every project a success.

🚗 Our latest achievement, the autonomous shuttle golf cart prototype for the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), showcases the effort and skills of our students, who led the project from its inception to the testing phase.

✨ Alongside our student team, we also welcomed Nong Fahsai Pibulsonggram, joining us to learn about autonomous driving technology. Her journey included hands-on experience with our prototype, where she contributed to the testing with the team. Some of our students also presented our project at the Sustainability EXPO 2024 (September 27 - October 6, 2024), where we revealed the autonomous Shuttle pod prototype.

Thanks to everyone’s contributions, Smart MOBI continues to be a center of innovation and learning for the future of smart transportation!

Introduction to NBTC 5G Autonomous Shuttle Research Project #รถไร้คนขับ

วันที่ 8 กพ. 2566 งาน Demo day โครงการ การสื่อสาร 5G สำหรับรถไร้คนขับ สนับสนุนงบประมาณโดย กองทุน กทปส กสทช ดำเนินงานโดยคณาจารย์ นักวิจัย และนิสิต จากคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และ Smart Mobility Resrarch Center จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ร่วมกับ บริษัท AIS โดยงานในวันนี้จัดขึ้นภายในพื้นที่สำนักงาน กสทช มีการสาธิต 4 ด้าน คือ 1. การทดลองนั่งรถรับส่งผู้โดยสารอัตโนมัติ (Low speed in predefined route Lv.3 Autonomous Shuttle) ใช้รถสองคัน สาธิตการรับส่ง 2. การแสดง Operation Dashboard ของรถอัตโนมัติ เพื่อแสดงข้อมูลของรถขณะ operate และแสดงภาพจากกล้องและข้อมูลLiDAR จากรถแบบ Real time จากรถ สามคันที่นำมาสาธิตในวันนี้ 3. การแสดงผลการสื่อสารผ่านเครือข่าย 5G และ 4. การแสดง Use cases การตรวจจับอาการง่วงของ Safe driver การ monitor ผู้โดยสาร และแสดงผลเมื่อเกิดเหตุการณ์ฯ เป็นต้น ทางคณะวิจัยของโครงการฯขอขอบคุณ กองทุน กทปส กสทช และทุกท่านที่ได้สละเวลามาร่วมงานสาธิตในครั้งนี้ และหวังว่าเราจะสามารถช่วยกันพัฒนาให้งานด้าน CAV (Connected Autonomous Vehicle) ในประเทศไทยมีความคืบหน้าไป

วันที่ 15 กย. เวลา13.00 น. โครงการทดลองระบบ5G สำหรับรถไร้คนขับ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ได้จัดงาน Demo สาธิตและแนะนำผลลัทธ์ของงานวิจัยที่กำลังดำเนินการในโครงการฯ ขึ้นภายในคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และได้สาธิตการวิ่งรถอัตโนมัติภายในจุฬาฯด้วย โดยได้รับความสนใจและเข้าร่วมงานจากหลายหน่วยงาน ทางคณะผู้วิจัยขอขอบพระคุณอย่างยิ่งครับ

Congratulation to Mr.Sedtawud Larbwisuthisaroj, our Ph.D candidate, for the Best Paper & Presentation Award from the 15th ATRANS Annual Conference Young Researcher's Forum 2022. His paper title is "Development of Autonomous Delivery Service Prototype in Chulalongkorn University.
