The traditional New Year's Day from 13 to 15 April. Merit making, visiting local temples and offering food to the Buddhist monks. A festival of unity as many return home to their loved ones and elderly family members. Performing water pouring over the palms of elders’ hands representing purification and the washing away all sins and bad luck. Representing transformation or change. The holiday is also known for its iconic water festival. Major streets are used as arenas splashing water on each other. Sawadee P*e Mai ! Happy Thai New Year! C U soon in Thailand.
