🎭 THE MASKED MAKERS: Who Is Your Inner Animal? 🐯🦜🦊
What if a mask could tell a story about who you are?
In The Masked Makers, young artists explore identity, emotion, and character design by transforming their ideas into expressive 3D wearable art.
Starting with multiple thumbnail sketches, students develop their own “inner animal” before bringing their chosen character to life using air-dry clay and reclaimed materials. Through shape, structure, colour, and unexpected embellishments, every mask becomes a unique reflection of its maker.
Along the way, students will:
🎭 Build in 3D — Sculpt stable forms using clay and recycled materials
✏️ Think Like a Designer — Develop and refine multiple ideas before choosing a final concept
🌈 Express Emotion Visually — Discover how shape and colour can communicate personality, mood, and character
♻️ Transform Everyday Materials — Reimagine reclaimed objects as meaningful artistic details
🐾 Tell a Personal Story — Use wearable art to explore identity and creative self-expression
More than a craft project, The Masked Makers encourages young artists to think deeply about character, make intentional creative choices, and discover just how much a work of art can communicate without saying a word.

🌺🎨 THE MEGA BLOOM — Where Nature Goes Larger Than Life!
What happens when a simple bouquet becomes a bold, large-scale celebration of colour?
Inspired by Van Gogh and Matisse, our young artists transform local tropical flora into expressive works bursting with colour, texture, and movement. 🌿✨
Through The Mega Bloom, students explore the foundations of classical still life while developing essential artistic skills:
🌺 Study botanical forms through detailed observation
🎨 Master proportion and scale to create ambitious compositions
🌈 Work from a controlled palette and mix tints and shades to expand their colour range
🖌️ Experiment with cross-hatching and stippling to capture botanical textures
🌿 Translate real tropical plants into expressive, impressionistic paintings
The result? A simple bouquet evolves into a cascading explosion of colour—a vibrant celebration of nature seen through each young artist’s unique perspective.
