German-Thai Dual Excellence Education (GTDEE) is a vocational education and training (apprenticeship) programme in which apprentices work in order to become skillful, qualified and capable of working in their chosen fields.

Congratulations to all graduates at the Automotive Mechatronics Technician Graduation Day 2025 today!

They have successfully graduated from the Automotive Mechatronics Technician Apprenticeship Programme batch 2022 and Batch 2023 jointly organised by Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Ltd., selected vocational colleges and GTCC.

The graduation ceremony commenced with an opening speech by Martin Schwenk, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Limited. It was followed by congratulatory remarks by Ebba Scholl, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy Bangkok, and Alexander Donau, President of the German Thai Chamber of Commerce.

The graduates received the Automotive Mechatronics Technician (AMT) Certificate, as a recognition of their hard work and learning achievements. Certificates were also conferred for C-Job profiles including C-Sales, C-Service Advisor, C-Diagnosis Technician, and Expert for High Voltage as well as Body & Paint Service Center Certifications.

🛠️[27/08/2025] MoU Signing Ceremony on DVET Collaboration between Pathumthani Brewery and BKC, E.Tech & TATC

Congratulations to Pathumthani Brewery, Bangkaewfa College (BKC), Eastern Technological College (E.Tech) and Sattahip College (Thai-Austrian Technical College / TATC) on the MoU signing on dual vocational education and training (DVET) collaboration!
GTCC Executive Director Dr. Roland Wein delivered a congratulatory speech at the MoU signing ceremony presided over by Piti Bhirombhakdi, Chief Production Officer, Boon Rawd Brewery, at Singha Complex, Bangkok. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing reflects successful bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Germany under the German Thai Dual Excellence Education (GTDEE) Programme. It is also a modern approach to develop the competence of young students in Thailand.

🛠️[22 & 29/08/2025] Workshops on Systematic Thinking and Problem Solving Skills Development for BMW Service Apprentices

GTDEE/ GTCC organised workshops on systematic thinking and problem-solving skills development for BMW Service Apprentice Programme batch 2024 at BMW Training Center, Pathumthani. As part of the cooperation with BMW Service Apprentice Program and 5 partner vocational colleges, the workshop focused on case studies to develop competence in systematic thinking, problem solving, leadership and decision making. The Apprentices gain knowledge and experience through their discussions, idea and experience sharing and group decision making. GTDEE/ GTCC also supports the collaboration between companies and colleges in the development of soft skills and high-quality perspectives.
As we believe in the potential of Thai youth to grow into professional craftsmen, reaching as far as their dream can take, the workshops serve the foundation for development. The selected groups have enhanced their skills to meet international standards accordingly. Therefore, if this programme continues to succeed and achieve its goals, the talents of these young Thai people will become a powerful force driving Thailand toward a brighter future.

🛠️[04-05/08/2025] Visiting BMW Dealers

GTDEE Senior Manager Dr. Kamonsak Suradom visited 7 BMW dealers in Bangkok, Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi Provinces, together with Director, Head of Automotive Department and Automotive Teachers of Banphai Industrial Community Education and College. It is part of the GTDEE cooperation in DVET with the BMW Service Apprentice Program.


🛠️[06/08/2025] Meeting with Trainers at BMW Training Center

The GTDEE Senior Manager had a meeting with trainers at the BMW Training Center, focusing on the reflection from the dealers visits. There were very positive feedbacks from Service Managers of the Dealers on the apprentices such as diligence, punctuality, attention to training, good team work and positive thinking to their future work. All of them attend training and grow in Automotive Career Path with BMW Dealers. These don't reflect only on the collaboration in DVET, but also GTDEE's support to the collaboration with other colleges and apprentices in different areas equally, further fostering Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) no. 4, 5, 8, 12 and 17. Thanks for the warm welcome by Qualigication and Training Manager of BMW Group Thailand.

🛠[23/07/2025] Meeting on DIDACTA Asia 2025 Co-operation

GTCC Executive Director Dr. Roland Wein and GTDEE Senior Manager Dr. Kamonsak Suradom had a meeting with Managing Director for China & Southeast Asia at Messe Stuttgart Hans Stoter on co-operation in DIDACTA Asia 2025. GTDEE and partner companies are invited to share experiences in the dual vocational education and training (DVET) in Thailand at the education trade fair during 15-17 October 2025.

The German-Thai Dual Excellence Education - GTDEE participated in many activities at the beginning of April. The highlights are shown as follows:

🛠️[03/04/2025] Meeting with E.Tech and Bangkok Cable Co., Ltd
An online meeting on Dual Vocational Education and Training based on the German standard was organised by GTDEE/GTCC. Participants included Dr. Prasert Klinchoo, Director of Eastern Technological College (E.Tech), the Head of DVET, the Head of the Industrial Programme, and the Head of the Mechatronics Department. From the company side, Khun Sira Boonyakida, Chief Human Resources Officer of Bangkok Cable Co., Ltd., as well as the HR Project Manager and team also joined. The meeting focused on the collaboration between the company and the college under the Apprenticeship Programme in the fields of Mechatronics and other professions as part of the internship programme. This applies to internship programs that are not working with GTDEE – general education system in Thailand.

🛠️[05/04/2025] Meeting with Robert Bosch Automotive Technologies Thailand (Amatacity)
GTDEE organised an online meeting with the HR team of Robert Bosch Automotive Technologies Thailand (Amata City). The meeting focused on monitoring the current batch of students enrolled in the Production Techniques Programme (Por-Wor-Sor level) at Eastern Technological College. Further discussions included the planning of a new student intake in May 2025 for both the Logistics (Warehouse Operator) and Production Techniques Programmes. Robert Bosch (Amata City) continues to develop technicians in collaboration with GTDEE under the VET programme.

🛠️ [06/04/2025] Workshop for BMW Service Apprentice Program Batch 2023
An online workshop on the examination guidelines (Part 2 – Automotive Mechatronics) for the BMW Service Apprentice Programme Batch 2023 was organised by GTDEE/GTCC. The session was led by GTDEE Senior Manager Dr. Kamonsak Suradom, who explained the structure of the examination, focusing on technical competence, human competence, social competence, and methodological competence. The participants came from five partner colleges and included technical teachers working with the BMW Service Apprentice Program. The GTDEE program invited experts from the private sector to share experiences in diagnostics based on a case study involving the electrical system of a refrigerator.

🛠️[08/04/2025] Teacher meeting between E.Tech and BK-TM, Mönchengladbach, Germany
GTDEE Senior Manager participated in an online meeting with technical teachers from the Vocational College of Technology and Media, Mönchengladbach, Germany, and Eastern Technological College (E.Tech), Thailand. This online meeting introduced the student exchange program under the MoU between both colleges. The initial idea of the exchange is to co-create a small project focusing on the concept of sustainability. According to the current plan, four students and one teacher from Eastern Technological College are scheduled to travel to Germany in May.

🛠️[09/04/2025] Workshop for Apprentices of Chiangmai Beverage Mechatronics Apprentice Program Batch 2024
GTDEE/GTCC organised an online workshop on the Part 1 Examination Preparation for apprentices of the Chiangmai Beverage Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program Batch 2024. After completing a 16-week in-company training phase, the apprentices returned to academic studies at the Faculty of Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL). During the workshop, apprentices engaged in discussions with independent experts on topics including energy saving, PLC programming, and Industry 4.0. GTDEE/GTCC plans to conduct the Part 1 Final Examination in July 2025.

The workshops and meetings were not only informative but also inspiring. During discussions on climate change, apprentices demonstrated a desire to exchange ideas and experiences. These activities highlight the strength of the German-Thai educational collaboration.

The GTCC final examination part 2 in automotive mechatronics for BMW Service Apprenticeship Programme batch 2023 came to the last day!

GTCC final examination in the practical part 2 has been conducted by German-Thai Dual Excellence Education - GTDEE/GTCC between 24 and 28 March 2025 at BMW Training Center, Pathumthani, with the participation of apprentices from Chitralada Vocational School, Don Bosco Technological College, Bangkaewfa College, Eastern Technological College and Banphai College. Independent examiners comprise representatives of experts from the industrial sector, College of Industry, KMUTNB and GTCC. The final examination part 2 is based on the principle of German dual vocational education and training (VET) abroad.

GTDEE/ GTCC conducted a final examination part 2 (Theoretical and Practical) for the student batch 2023 on 18 March 2025 with the participation of Independent Examiner Board members comprising from College of Industry, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, also representatives from the industry and GTCC.

The examination was based on the dual vocational education and training in-line with German model under project-based learning approach. The theoretical part was conducted in English.

The examination took place at Mechatronics Department, Eastern Technological College.

GTDEE/GTCC had organised a technical teachers workshop between 12 and 13 March 2025, in collaboration with BMW Service Apprenticeship Program. This workshop focuses on collaboration between teachers and trainers who are responsible for dual vocational education and training under GTDEE programme. The workshop aimed at facilitating all technical teachers from 5 partner colleges of BMW Service Apprenticeship Programme to understand the scope of theoretical content and align the content with practical training. GTDEE supports the collaboration between trainer and teachers and enhance continuous improvement of methodological competence in their teaching and training based on the German standard.

The workshop was also available online, with the participation of E.Tech and Banphai College.

GTDEE/ GTCC organised a final examination part 2 (practical) in automotive mechatronics for students participating in the Mercedes-Benz Apprenticeship Programme Batch 2023 from 3 to 4 March 2025.

The GTCC final examination is based on the principle of German dual vocational education and training (VET) abroad. The independent examiners are experts in this field comprising representatives from the industrial sector, College of Industry, KMUTNB and GTCC. The examination took place at Mercedes-Benz Training Center, Samut Prakan.
