The STEMazing Creators (Year 1 & 2) Climate Change Project.

The students worked together to learn about climate change! They wanted to help save the Earth by stopping climate change. They would also like to teach everyone about all the ways they can to prevent this from happening to our planet.

⚗️STEM Learning & Collaboration

As we continue learning about Living Things and their Habitats, Year 3&4 collaborated with Year 5&6 to do a joint research on Plant Adaptations in Africa. We started looking at how savanna plants uniquely adapt to their conditions - these facts will provide information about the survival strategies of the iconic African plants and trees we are creating for our school corridor display.

As part of their Animal Adaptations lesson, the students in STEMtastic Explorers used the Venn Diagram to mash two animals together to create a new animal. After they have created their new animal by drawing or using their photo editing skills, they named it and described its special characteristics like its habitat and how it adapted to its environment. They also creatively constructed their new creature using various materials.

Africa came to Thailand! Last week, the Key Stage 2 students had a special Zoom call with wildlife experts from Lilongwe Wildlife Centre in Malawi, East Africa. They talked to the children about African animals and their habitats. Children learnt first hand about animals, their eating habits and how animals have adapted to their habitats. They also learnt about the centre’s interesting work around animal conservation and adoption programs. The children got the opportunity to ask the experts some questions too.

🔍TheSTEMtastic Explorers🔍

Year 3 & 4 students take a trip thousands years back in time to dig some amazing and extraordinary artefacts.

They learn about their ancestors and what objects they used. They also examine, analyze and record a variety of fossils that are preserved in each rock layer that we pass to tell the evolutionary story of life on Earth.
