Our Story

History
Na Daroon School was first established in 1991 in the Sukhumvit area enrolling Kindergarten students to a constructivist approach to Thai education and inspired by the philosophy of “Reggio Emilia.” Here, we create environments that promote children’s learning--allowing children the freedom to explore and discover, challenge themselves, make mistakes and learn from the things that they do. In 2002, Na Daroon School expanded the classes to elementary levels and moved to Meng-Jai area with a spacious area of 5 rai. Now, we offer classes from Nursery to Grade 6 (2-12 years old). Na Daroon School continues to provide an innovative Thai education where the students are given the opportunity to discover, to use all kinds of materials in creative ways, and to think outside the box.

Philosophy & Curriculum
At Na Daroon, children experience the joy of learning because the curriculum is tailor-made and designed to be meaningful to them. The children learn to ask questions, participate in effective discussions with a critical eye and look at topics through various perspectives. In addition, learning takes place beyond the classroom, we promote educational field trips as well as “service learning” program where children investigates the needs of the surrounding communities and offer assistance to the community.
Furthermore, the curriculum aims to develop children with a strong sense of themselves as Thai individuals as well as knowledgeable and engaged citizens of the world. Consequently, we offer a strong English program taught by native English speakers, which constitutes 35% of the curriculum. The remaining curriculum is in Thai, which serves to teach students Thai language, customs and culture through the curriculum approved by the Thai Ministry of Education. By developing students with proficiency in English, good critical thinking and problem solving skills, and a sense of social responsibility, Na Daroon School aspires to facilitate our students’ integration as creative, innovative and cooperative members of the global community, while maintaining their Thai language and cultural identity.
The name “Na Daroon” means “children’s place” and reflects our child centered philosophy. The curriculum aims to develop children with a strong sense of themselves as Thai individuals while developing essential skills such as proficiency in English, good critical thinking and problem solving skills and a sense of social responsibility. At Na Daroon School, we propose an innovative education where children have the opportunity to practice the essential skills needed to become effective citizens of the globalized world.
