As part of their Thai Language and Culture topic on prehistoric life, our Year 2 students enjoyed a special learning session with a guest speaker from one of the world’s leading oil companies.
The interactive talk helped students understand how prehistoric life connects to the energy sources we use today, while also encouraging curiosity, discussion, and the development of Thai vocabulary, speaking, listening, and comprehension skills through meaningful real-world learning.

From our EY leaders’ visit last month to the Princess of Wales this month, the Reggio Emilia approach continues to inspire conversations about the beautiful possibilities of early childhood education.
We are proud to be one of the schools implementing this inspiring philosophy, and it has been wonderful to see growing global attention on the approach following our EY leaders’ journey to Reggio Emilia last month.

At the heart of our Reggio-inspired Early Years environment is the belief that learning happens through connection and community. Our Nursery families recently joined their children in the classroom to create handmade paper using recycled materials together.
The finished pieces will become part of our end-of-year community art display, continuing a shared story created by children, families, and teachers.

Our Primary students celebrated the joy of poetry through Poem in Your Pocket last week. Students from Years 3–6 took to the stage during our Poetry Recital, confidently performing poems in different styles. Some made us laugh, some made us think, and all reminded us what a brilliant celebration poetry, performance, and confident voices can be!
Thank you to our Library team for hosting such a wonderful session.

Who says only children go to school? At HQP, our parents have been learning too!
Throughout the year, parents at Hanqing Bilingual Pathway (HQP) joined Parents Mandarin classes, exploring language, culture, food, traditions, and more together. Thank you to all parents for being such enthusiastic learners, and special thanks to Khun Sally, our BIP parent, for supporting, and to Luna Cao, our HQP Chinese Principal, for leading these meaningful community sessions.
We ended the year with fun quizzes, a “final exam”, and certificates for all our parent learners!
