Ever wondered what the teachers’ staff room actually looks like? It’s something every student has probably wondered at some point, so Mr Ash and Ms Kim gives us a first look behind the scenes at Dulwich College International School Bangkok for a look inside the brand-new staff room.
And it’s certainly not what Mr Ash remembers from his teaching days!
As Ms Kim explains, creating a great school experience isn’t only about the students. It’s also about providing teachers with the right environment to work, collaborate and enjoy being part of the school community.
With opening just around the corner, the campus is really starting to come to life!

The British Learning Centre: Bangkok is an evening and weekend English language school offering high-quality teaching & learning, all aligned with the British National Curriculum.
In Part 8, Mr Ash continues with Year 2 Maths and introduces multiplication as repeated addition, building on what we’ve already learned about counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.
This lesson introduces the multiplication symbol and helps children understand the important idea of equal groups. Using examples such as 4 + 4 + 4 = 12, Mr Ash demonstrates how repeated addition can also be written as multiplication.
Parents can practise at home using everyday examples too — from counting wheels on cars and motorbikes to looking at groups of eggs in a box. A simple but important step towards building a strong understanding of multiplication and times tables!

Now Mr Ash and Mr Jason step inside Wycombe Abbey Bangkok’s boarding facilities, taking us inside the girls’ boarding building for a closer look at where students can call home during term time.
From twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms and secure storage to impressive views overlooking the golf course, the facilities have been designed to provide students with a comfortable, safe and supportive environment.
Mr Jason also explains the different boarding options available, including full boarding, weekly boarding and flexible boarding, giving families the choice to find an option that suits their needs. With dedicated boarding staff, 24/7 support, secure facilities, transport to school, meals and weekend activities, there’s plenty more to boarding life than just having somewhere to stay.
A great look inside the boarding facilities that students will begin calling home from this Sunday at Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok!
Now we’re heading to the boarding facilities at Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok!
After exploring the main school campus, Mr Ash meets Jason, Head of External Affairs and Corporate Partnerships, for a closer look at where the school’s boarding students will call home.
Located just a few minutes from the main campus, the boarding accommodation includes separate buildings for boys and girls, dedicated boarding staff, secure access, and transport to and from the school.
Stay tuned as Mr Ash takes us inside for a closer look!
Part 7 of our Back to School Series continues with Column Subtraction with Exchanging, helping children prepare for Year 2 Maths.
In this lesson, Mr Ash explains how exchanging works when there are not enough ones to subtract. Using the example 52 − 27, children learn how one ten can be exchanged for 10 ones before completing the subtraction.
Mr Ash also looks at common mistakes students can make and explains why a strong understanding of tens, ones and place value is so important.

We’ve seen one of the three libraries, and now Mr Ash and Ms Kim take us inside the DUCKS Library and a Year 1 classroom, giving us a closer look at how these spaces have been designed specifically for younger learners.
The DUCKS Library features flexible learning spaces, plenty of natural light and a strong connection to the surrounding nature, while the Year 1 classrooms include ergonomically designed furniture, writable desks, interactive technology and dedicated areas for collaborative learning and play.
Students can also move between indoor and outdoor learning spaces, giving teachers even more flexibility in how lessons and activities are delivered.

As the school prepares to welcome its first Year 10 students, Mr Ash asks Ms Victoria an important question: what will these students look like when they eventually leave Wycombe Abbey?
Beyond achieving strong IGCSE and A-Level results, the vision is for students to leave confident, independent and ready for the next stage of their lives, whether that means university, an apprenticeship or another pathway.
Most importantly, they will leave with lifelong friendships, valuable connections and the skills to take on whatever comes next.
A great way to conclude Mr Ash’s conversation with Ms Victoria and an exciting look at the future of Wycombe Abbey International School Bangkok.
