The observation of Thai tradition and culture plays a vital role in the development and learning at HEI Schools Bangkok, helping our young learners build a deep respect and appreciation for the beautiful heritage around them.

Our festivities began with the meaningful tradition of pouring scented water on the Buddha image and the hands of the elders to ask for good blessings for the year ahead. The excitement then spilled outdoors with joyful water play for all students, followed by a delightful picnic on the playground where everyone enjoyed the serving of a traditional Thai dessert. The celebration was made even more special by a graceful traditional Thai dance performed by our wonderful teachers. As we step into the short school break for the Thai New Year, we wish all our families a joyous and prosperous Songkran, and we eagerly look forward to a safe return of everyone after the holidays!

During the event, we showcased the HEI Museum, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how our students learn and grow through hands-on experiences. Additionally, we introduced our new HEI Chess Club, where students can develop strategic thinking, patience, and problem-solving skills while having fun and fostering a love for this classic game.

If you’re interested in applying for the 2026/2027 academic year starting this August 2026, applications are still open—however, only a few seats remain. We have also begun accepting applications for the 2027/28 academic year.

As part of our Phenomenon-based learning theme on "Flora and Fauna," our budding botanists took a sensory stroll through the Live Plant Collections, marveling at the vibrant diversity of the natural world right in the heart of Bangkok. Beyond the excitement of the garden, this excursion planted the seeds for a lifelong commitment to our planet. By engaging with the museum’s diverse ecosystem, our K-1 and K-2 students began to understand that every leaf and petal plays a vital role in our world's health.

The real "dirt-y" fun began during the hands-on succulent potting session, where tiny hands practiced big responsibility by planting their very own green companions. By learning to care for their own succulent, the children are practicing the "sustainable way of living" firsthand--recognizing that even the smallest living things require respect, resources, and mindful stewardship to thrive.

This excursion wasn't just a fieldtrip; it was a living laboratory that transformed abstract concepts into tangible experiences, perfectly aligning with the HEI Schools’ philosophy of fostering curiosity through real-world discovery.
