📢 Call for Applications: 2027 Research Grants
The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS), administered by the National Central Library (NCL), is pleased to announce the opening of applications for two prestigious research grants for the year 2027:
1. 2027 Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies
Application Deadline: May 31, 2026
Submission: Online or via air mail.
Notification: By the end of August 2026.
2. 2027 MOFA Taiwan Fellowship (Administered on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, R.O.C.)
Application Period: May 1 – June 30, 2026
Submission: Electronic submission only.
Notification: Between October and the end of November 2026.

APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Conference 2026
Date: May 21–24, 2026
Location: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Minhang Campus, Shanghai, China
The APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Conference 2026 will bring together experts from academia, industry, government, and local communities to reflect on the transformations unfolding across the region and to co‑design pathways toward a more sustainable and resilient future. All sessions will be delivered in person.
The 2026 Conference will convene in Shanghai, hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, under the theme “Evolutionary Cities and Landscapes in the Pacific Rim.”

The Office of Academic Resources (OAR), Chulalongkorn University, welcomes international affiliates, including library and information professionals and researchers, to join the Chula-Global Library Visiting Fellowship Program 2026.
This two-month fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand offers the opportunity to work on joint projects or academic publications, collaborate with OAR staff, and engage in a vibrant multicultural environment.
🔍Focus Areas include:
Digital preservation, research data management, archives, scholarly communication, less-dominant culture collections, machine-learning applications, Thai Studies, and Southeast Asian Studies.
💼 Stipend: 230,000 THB (15% withholding tax applies)
📅 Program Period: May–June 2026

[🩷NCL Taiwan- Call for 2026 Applications: Two Research Grants]
The Center for Chinese Studies (CCS, 漢學研究中心) at the National Central Library (NCL, 國家圖書館) in Taipei, Taiwan (R.O.C.) administers two research grants:
the Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies(外籍學人來臺研究漢學獎助) and the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship (外交部臺灣獎助金).
📌(1)2026 Research Grant for Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies, administered by the Center for Chinese Studies
Applications for the 2026 are currently being accepted, with a deadline of May 31, 2025.
All application materials for the Research Grant must be submitted electronically or by air mail no later than this date.
Notification of the Selection Committee's decisions will be sent by the end of August.
📌(2) 2026 MOFA Taiwan Fellowship, which CCS administers on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
