Khanom Alua (Allure) is a traditional Thai dessert that is made of wheat flour, coconut milk, and sugar.
It is believed that the word ‘Alua’ comes from 2 sources. One is "Allure" in English which means attraction, draw, pull or from the French word "aleurier" which means ancient. Another source is "Halva" (halvah, halwa) - a Middle Eastern dessert in Arabic language.
This dessert is crispy outside but sticky and sweet inside. Khanom Alua or Allure is usually made in small colorful pieces, usually colored in green, pink, yellow and white. A good snack to enjoy with friends and family.

There are local hotels and guesthouses to accommodate visitors who love nature and peaceful vibes 💕

One of most classic Thai desserts. Yummy! 😋
Pandanus Khanom Piak P**n is another classic Thai dessert made from the flours of rice and beans, kneaded over low heat to form a sticky and chewy texture. The black version of this dessert gets its aroma from coconut husk charcoal, while the green from pandanus leaves. The serving requires a handful of hand-grated young coconut on top.
