Countdown 1 day to the APRU MULTI-HAZARDS Symposium 2022 🎉
The event day is coming! We warmly welcome everyone to join our symposium program tomorrow. For the first day, it starts with the opening ceremony then the speech presented by our keynote speakers (Prof. Dr. Fumihiko Imamura, Dr. Bhichit Rattakul, Dr. Sanjay Srivastava and Dr. Aaron Opdyke) in the morning session and followed by the attendee presentation in the whole afternoon. The second day is opened by our keynote presentation (Prof. Dr. Harold Yih-Chi Tan, Mr. Atiq Ahmed, Asst. Prof. Supattra Visessri, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tavida Kamolvej and Dr. Constance Chua) then the last presentation session given by attendee parallel with the poster presentation. After that, all of you will enjoy the campus tour at Chulalongkorn University in the afternoon and dinner time on Meridian Cruise at Icon Siam. 🙂

Less than 3 days before the APRU MULTI-HAZARDS Symposium 2022 🎉
Finally, it comes to the time of sharing knowledge from our last keynote speaker. Dr. Constance Chua, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow of Earth Observatory of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, presents in the topic “Tsunami Impacts on Critical Infrastructure: Research Gaps and Challenges”. In the past till present, most people have heard about the tragedy in human life and property caused by Tsunami, potentially leading the study of the reduction and prevention in the severity of natural disasters is favorable. Welcome everyone to move on to the last five topics from our keynote speakers! Here is “Building Drought Resilience in Thailand’s Agricultural Sector” given by Asst. Prof. Supattra Visessri. She is one of the members from the Department of Water Resources, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
The Water Resources Department, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University has a lot of research that aims to support and implement in the title of water resources management, water disaster and other water issues mostly related to Thailand.

Our 6th keynote speaker, Mr. Atiq Ahmed, the Senior Programme Manager of Climate Resilience Department from Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC). This organization is the international organization that has been working to build the resilience of the people and institutions in the Asia and Pacific countries since 1986.
Mr. Ahmed will give us the speech about the “Integrating Multiple Domains of Science, Systems, and Society for Disaster and Climate Resilience: Experiences and Lessons from the Asian Countries” at our symposium on the 2nd day.

Another keynote speaker from National Taiwan University. We would like to introduce you, Prof. Dr. Harold Yih-Chi Tan, the Director of Weather Climate Disaster Research Center. The presentation on the topic of “The Climate Change Impacted on Zhengzhou’s Flooding in China, 2021.”
The WCDR was established in 2003 with the purpose to study and research in the global climate change, natural disaster, the academic collaboration to reduce the disaster damage globally and more.
