What a way to wrap up the school year. 🙌
The 𝟭𝟭𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗔𝗔𝗔𝗖 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 is officially in the books, and we are still riding the high from three incredible days in Bangkok with some of the most passionate athletic directors, coaches, PE teachers, aquatics specialists, outdoor educators, and admin assistants the international school world has to offer.
𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗸𝗵𝘂𝗺𝘃𝗶𝘁 set the tone beautifully, and 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝟮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 brought the energy, the learning, and yes, plenty of great conversations over coffee.
A few things that made this year extra special:
• Jeannette Stawski delivered a keynote that had the whole room thinking differently about purpose, leadership, and why we do what we do.
• Four NIAAA certification courses ran across all three days, giving attendees the chance to earn professional credentials right here in Bangkok.
• The Women in Athletics Roundtable was as powerful as ever, with a wonderful surprise appearance from Jen Brooks of the Global Community of Women in High School Sports, who had some very exciting news to share.
• The NIST Falcons Academy Showcase reminded us all why we love international school sport so much.
To every presenter, attendee, and volunteer who showed up and gave their best: thank you. This conference exists because of you.
And to our committee, especially Joe Toler for holding it all together year after year, and to Kirby Boychuk whose founding vision continues to inspire everything we do: we could not do this without you.
