It is the birthday of Queen Sirikit, who is regarded as the mother of the nation.

🌼 The jasmine flower is the symbol of Mother's Day in Thailand because it represents a mother's pure and unconditional love.

✅Answer: A ฉันหิว (chán-hěw) , หิว (hěw) is hungry, กิน (gin) is eat, and ไม่หิว (mâi-hěw) is not hungry.

อาบน้ำใหญ่ (àab-nám-yài)
Most Thai learners already know that อาบน้ำ : àab-nám means to take a shower or to bathe.
But sometimes Thai people say : ได้เวลาอาบน้ำใหญ่ละ : dâi-way-laa-àab-nám-yài-lá : It's time for a proper shower.
So what is อาบน้ำใหญ่ : àab-nám-yài?
It means s thorough shower, not just a quick rinse.
Usually it includes things like :
* washing your hair 😀
* using soap all over your body 🤨
* brushing your teeth 😁
* apply skincare or lotion afterward 🙂
* including a good skin scrub 😍
A normal อาบน้ำ : àab-nám can simply mean taking a quick shower.
But อาบน้ำใหญ่ : àab-nám-yài means spending more time cleaning yourself properly. 🛀
It's very common expression in everyday Thai conversation.

Thai Slang You'll Hear Every Day 🇹🇭
💬 Did you know ... ?
Modern Thai uses many loanwords from English (called คำทับศัพท์ : kam-táb-sàb). Sometimes Thai people use the English word with a Thai pronunciation, and sometimes the meaning changes slightly from the original English.

Learning these words will help you understand everyday conversations, social media, and native speaker much better!

1. มูฟออน (move on)
Meaning
To move on from something, especially after a disappointment, breakup, or difficult situation.

Sample sentence: เขาเลิกกับแฟนมา 6 เดือนแล้ว แต่ยังมูฟออนไม่ได้ : kǎo-lôek-gàb-faen-maa-lâew-hòk-duean, tàe-kào-yang-move-on-mâi-dâi. (He broke up with his girlfriend six months ago, but he still can't move on.):

2. เท (tay)
Meaning
To ditch someone, cancel plans, or suddenly lose interest.

Sample sentence: วันนี้โดนเพื่อนเท : wan-née-don-pûean-tay (My friend canceled on me today.)

3. หาทำ (hǎa-tam)
Meaning
To find something random, unnecessary, or funny to do because you're bored.

Sample sentence: มันอันตรายมาก อย่าหาทำ : man-an-ta-raai-mâak-yàa-hǎa-tam (It's really dangerous. Don't even think about trying it.)
Tip 💡: When Thai people say 'อย่าหาทำ: yàa-hǎa-tam , they usually aren't litterally saying 'Don't find something to do.' Instead, it means : Don't try it, Don't do something silly, Don't do anything that'll get you into trouble.

You will often hear this expression when someone is about to do something dangerous, unnecessary, or a bit ridiculous.

These slang words help you understand how Thai poeple really speak in everyday life. 🇹🇭
