🇹🇭🇸🇬 15–17 July 2026 | An Unforgettable Cultural Exchange Experience

From 15–17 July 2026, Assumption College proudly hosted students and teachers from Holy Innocents' High School, Singapore, for an enriching cultural exchange programme under the Singapore–Thailand Enhanced Partnership (STEP) Camp 2026.

Throughout these three memorable days, students immersed themselves in a wide range of hands-on activities that combined creativity, science, technology, and Thai cultural heritage. The programme began with the Dream Makers Activity, where students collaborated through interactive challenges that encouraged teamwork, communication, and creative thinking.

The learning journey continued with STEM experiences, including electronics workshops, science exploration, innovation activities, and simulator experiences that inspired curiosity and problem-solving skills. Students also enjoyed creative photography sessions, allowing them to express their imagination while working together as international teams.

To deepen their appreciation of Thai culture, participants experienced a variety of traditional activities, including a Gold Leaf Gilding Workshop, Thai Classical Music, Thai Classical Dance, and Traditional Thai Dessert Making (Bua Loy Benjarong). They also explored Thailand's rich history through visits to Nitasrattanakosin, Wat Saket (The Golden Mount), Museum Siam, and ICONSIAM, gaining a greater understanding of the country's heritage, arts, and way of life.

Beyond the educational activities, the most meaningful outcome of the programme was the friendships that blossomed between Thai and Singaporean students. Through learning, sharing, and laughing together, they created unforgettable memories that will remain long after the exchange has ended.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Farewell Activity and Farewell Dinner, celebrating not only the success of the exchange but also the strong bond of friendship between Assumption College and Holy Innocents' High School.

🌏🤝 12–15 July 2026 | Building Friendships Across Borders

From 12–15 July 2026, students and teachers from Assumption College had the honour of welcoming our partner school, Holy Innocents' High School, Singapore, to Thailand as part of the Singapore–Thailand Enhanced Partnership (STEP) Camp 2026.

Our journey began with warmly welcoming our Singaporean friends upon their arrival before travelling together to the National Science Museum Thailand (NSM), where participants joined the official opening ceremony of the STEP Camp. From the very first day, students from both countries quickly connected through shared experiences, conversations, and activities, laying the foundation for lasting friendships.

The following day, participants explored the beauty of Thailand's cultural heritage through visits to the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace and the UNESCO World Heritage city of Ayutthaya, including Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit. These experiences provided valuable opportunities for cultural appreciation and meaningful exchanges between Thai and Singaporean students.

The programme continued at the National Science Museum Thailand, where students participated in hands-on learning activities at the Rama IX Museum and Futurium (Innovation World). Through interactive exhibits, Museum Trail challenges, and collaborative activities, students discovered the excitement of science and innovation while strengthening teamwork and international friendship.

Following the conclusion of the central STEP Camp programme, Assumption College and Holy Innocents' High School continued their exchange through school-based activities, creating even more opportunities to learn from one another, experience Thai culture, and build friendships beyond the classroom.

These four memorable days have been filled with learning, cultural appreciation, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Assumption College is proud to be part of this meaningful international partnership and looks forward to strengthening the bonds of friendship between Thailand and Singapore for many years to come.

Bro. Dr. Dechachai Sripicharn Attends the Closing Ceremony of the Thailand–Singapore Youth Camp 2026

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Bro. Dr. Dechachai Sripicharn, Director of Assumption College, attended the Closing Ceremony of the Thailand–Singapore Youth Camp 2026 held at Rajavinit Mathayom School. His presence reflected Assumption College's continued commitment to supporting international educational collaboration and strengthening the long-standing partnership between Thailand and Singapore through meaningful educational exchange.

The closing ceremony featured welcoming remarks and cultural performances by participating schools. Supporting speeches were delivered by Ms. Carol Ann Martin, Head of the Singapore Delegation, and the Director of Rajavinit Mathayom School, followed by the official closing address by Dr. Weera Khangkasikarn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education. The ceremony also included a souvenir exchange between representatives of the Ministries of Education of Thailand and Singapore, the presentation of certificates to student representatives from participating schools, reflection speeches by student representatives from both Thailand and Singapore, and a series of cultural performances celebrating friendship, mutual understanding, and international cooperation.

The Thailand–Singapore Youth Camp continues to provide valuable opportunities for students to develop intercultural understanding, leadership skills, and global perspectives while fostering lasting friendships and strengthening educational partnerships between the two nations. Assumption College is proud to support initiatives that inspire students to become globally minded citizens equipped with the knowledge, values, and collaboration skills needed to thrive in an interconnected world.

Book Distribution Ceremony Inspires Students to Build Peace from Within

On Friday, July 10, 2026, Assumption College proudly hosted the Book Distribution Ceremony for students and teachers participating in the World Peace Education Program. The educational books, including the Diary of Inner Peace, were presented by Dr. Petcharat Lovichakorntikul, Director of the World Peace Ethics Club, Thailand, together with Miss Aunchalee Trinate, World-PEC Project Manager, and Mr. Somboon Boonprasitthiphol, Committee. Their visit highlighted the organization's continued commitment to promoting peace education and ethical values among young people.

This international initiative encourages students to cultivate mindfulness, compassion, responsibility, and inner peace through self-reflection and ethical living. Since its establishment in Thailand in 2008, the World Peace Education Program has expanded to several countries across Asia, promoting peace and moral development regardless of nationality, culture, or religion.

Assumption College remains committed to nurturing not only academic excellence but also strong character and universal values, empowering students to become future leaders who contribute positively to their families, communities, and society while helping build a more peaceful world.

📌 “Speak Up! English for Work” Training at the Royal Thai Air Force Nursing College ✈️🇬🇧

On July 22, 2025, the Royal Thai Air Force Nursing College held a professional development workshop titled “Speak Up! English for Work” to enhance English communication skills for nurse educators and medical staff. The session was led by Ajarn Lapassanun Juntarote, Head of the Foreign Languages Department at Assumption College.

🗣️ The training offered a dynamic and engaging environment where participants actively practiced accurate English pronunciation—focusing on word stress, intonation, and final consonant sounds. These features were contrasted with the tonal nature of the Thai language, helping participants gain a deeper understanding of English as a stress-timed and intonation-based language.

👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️ Attendees included nurse educators and healthcare professionals, all of whom enthusiastically engaged in every activity and collaborated fully in the learning process. A highlight of the workshop was the hands-on activity in which every participant practiced introducing and presenting information about their hospital in English. This practical component equips the participants with valuable language skills that can be directly applied when welcoming international visitors or delegations in the future.

💬 Group Captain Asst. Prof. Wallapa Andara, Director of the Royal Thai Air Force Nursing College, expressed her appreciation to the speaker, noting that the workshop not only encouraged active participation but also helped build confidence in using English effectively in professional contexts.

Book Distribution for Students and Teachers Participating in the World Peace Education Program

On July 16, 2025, at around 10:00 a.m., students and teachers at Assumption College who are participating in the “Values Education for Peace” program received educational books provided by the World Peace Ethics Club. The books, including the Diary of Inner Peace, are designed to encourage self-reflection, mindfulness, and the cultivation of good values.

This international project, which originated in Thailand in 2008, has expanded to several countries such as Myanmar, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It aims to promote peace and moral development among youth regardless of their nationality or religion.

The books will support students and teachers in their journey toward inner peace, helping them become individuals who contribute positively to their families, communities, and society at large.

📌 Highlights from STEP CAMP 2025 in Singapore

During the 7-day adventure (6–12 July 2025), our students participated in the Thai–Singapore Youth Camp (STEP CAMP 2025), filled with engaging learning experiences, cultural exchange, and unforgettable memories.

The students explored iconic locations including Suntec City, SG Discovery Centre, River Wonders, Merlion Park, Marina Barrage, and Gardens by the Bay. They also practiced independence by navigating the MRT, using English in real-life situations, and managing their time and belongings while living and learning abroad.

They joined hands with their Singaporean buddies at Holy Innocents’ High School, participating in workshops, cultural performances, and team-building activities that deepened their understanding of international friendship and cooperation.

While the schedule was packed and sometimes tiring, students returned home with smiles, new skills, valuable lessons, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

A heartfelt thank you to the Ministries of Education (Thailand & Singapore), dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and every student who made this exchange camp truly meaningful! 💙

ตลอดระยะเวลา 7 วัน 6 คืน ของการเข้าร่วม โครงการค่ายเยาวชนไทย-สิงคโปร์ STEP CAMP 2025 ระหว่างวันที่ 6–12 กรกฎาคม 2568 นักเรียนของเราได้เรียนรู้และเติบโตทั้งในด้านภาษา วัฒนธรรม และทักษะชีวิต

ค่ายครั้งนี้เต็มไปด้วยกิจกรรมที่หลากหลาย ทั้งการเยี่ยมชมสถานที่สำคัญ เช่น Suntec City, SG Discovery Centre, River Wonders, Merlion Park, Marina Barrage และ Gardens by the Bay นักเรียนยังได้ฝึกการใช้ชีวิตในต่างประเทศ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการ นั่ง MRT, ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษในชีวิตจริง, และ ดูแลตัวเองร่วมกับเพื่อน ๆ

นอกจากกิจกรรมเรียนรู้ นักเรียนยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรมกับเพื่อนสิงคโปร์ในโรงเรียนคู่เครือข่ายอย่าง Holy Innocents’ High School ผ่านการทำกิจกรรมกลุ่ม เวิร์กช็อป และการแสดงร่วมกัน

แม้บางวันจะเหนื่อยและกิจกรรมแน่นตั้งแต่เช้าจนเย็น แต่ทุกคนก็ยิ้มแย้ม สนุกสนาน ได้เปิดโลกกว้าง พบเพื่อนใหม่ และกลับมาพร้อมความทรงจำดี ๆ มากมาย
